This week was a wild metal detecting adventure as we got access to a huge colonial property with acres of grassy land to detect! The property has amazing old standing structures which caught all our attention, but the real magic for us was hidden under the ground. From the first dig to the last we pulled a record amount of large cents, old US coins, fancy silver, and period relics that went back hundreds of years! We found so many things that I have to divide the video up, with this being part one of this incredible location. So hold on tight and come along with us for the ride!

My parents house in Leitersburg, MD was built in 1802 and the old mill was older but was destroyed in a flood years ago. I wish I was into metal detecting back before they sold the house. I plan on taking my son back to the house soon and see if the new owners will let us hunt. I'm sure we will find just about everything there.

I don't feel as jealous after that hunt. Had a great two-week hunt in Michigan. Found silver coins and jewelry, also Indians, 1899 and now my oldest coin 1874. Even a 14k gold ring along with a silver spoon ring. Looking forward to next week's hunt. Someday I'm going to drop in on one of your hunts.

I don't think it was a date stone from when it was built. It looks more like a kid carved his initials and a date. It's probably a lot older.
