We're back at the auctions again and prices are ridiculous. Considering how quiet the trade has been the last couple of months, I'm amazed the way things are priced! We were spotted by staff as they must have seen a previous video, everyone was very nice though. Not a very successful day on the whole!

I really enjoy watching auction videos, having never been to one, it’s a visual experience of what goes on. It’s a pity you didn’t win one Joe, although, as you mentioned, most of them were overpriced.

I used to love going to the auctions looking around the car park then watching the auction. I think better bargains are to be had in private sales just harder to come by.

thanks for the shout out "guy from the isle of wight" ended up buying 6 that day the amica was the 1st purchase and yes i didnt realise it had no mot, but was automatic so will make £2295 ONCE MOTD, everything was making well over book, that green c3 should of been £1800 max as needed the side painted and a mrror cover so extra £400 on top and I feel was only £3995 retail

It's fascinating how the economics works. I assumed auction prices would be driven by what the dealers can achieve on the day, but if auction prices are going up and retail prices dropping, either there must be a significant lag between the two or something else driving them up 🤔.

Just a shame it's not very detailed and doesn't give you thing like options or not history etc. But still a good service

Even the salvage car prices have gone crazy,i used to buy Cat N with just panel damage but the price of these,there is very little profit left once repaired.

My mate bought the amica from Isle of Wight, just pulled it in today, to buff rich in etc and just painted the wheels today, he bought 6 and seems to be making a very good living out of it . Good luck with your videos and buisness 👍

Second hand car prices have been stupidly inflated for a number of years in my view, correct to walk away. If mugs keep buying them when there is no margin left, the market will remain inflated. Just say no!

Why would anyone put a car through auction with no MOT? that is a big red flag especially when its a decent car like the Touareg, probably needs a new engine, which would be more than its worth, interesting to see how many of them get put back through the auction next week. Used to happen at my local auction, chancers would overpay, then realise they cant make any money out of it, then put it back through, you think they would learn but no they just keep doing it.

It does make your wonder who is buying these cars for way over what they're worth and still turning a profit, something is Def not right here. If the shtst car there was worth a MAX £500 , and you KNOW it's only worth THAT, how is it selling for say £1500 + etc, do you think cinch etc are buying them all cos they're new car sht is not selling.🤣 Anyway, just subscribed, like your aura, decent content my friend, very informative especially at this crazy time were living through where everything seems to be going upside down. Getting difficult at auction, I waited till the end for a finance repo 61 v50 volvo, should have been cheap, but it wasn't, then fees, then it's usual work, tyres, stuff to do, then when you advertise I find it's got to be low price band on auto trader, then it's what will you take and it's got to be a new car....

@@ShiftingMetal yes bud, bought a 63 plate note, 72k,mint 2650 bid, so it's 3k up for sale, cheap tax, fsh, I'm down to 3495 now with no calls, on 2nd ad now, it doesn't help that wbac says 2k,thats another thing that works against you. Bca/wbac are like controling the market, bidding low, charging high, no recon in between, telling the public via wbac that you as a dealer are robbing them, then the auction keeps it high, there not bothered, your then stuck with expensive prep, 6 mths comeback, it's all gone upside down tbh.

@@misternev3875 Some will have had a basic check done. Some check will give you some comeback but most don’t. Essentially, if you buy a car with hidden issues at auction, you’re on your own. If you buy from a dealer, you’re protected much more 👍

Great vid, and good too see the banners with the score and price sold Surely the trade in px are the best value for making decent profit, and just keep circulating. Also what about those platforms like carwow and motorway, I would of thought they are a great place to get stock at knock down prices

@philipmcardle. Sold my car (retail price) in July for £6500. At Christmas the retail price of the car was £6900, £400 more than I eventually sold it for. Seems retail price still on downward trend. I got my prices from looking at AutoTrader. Car was 62 plate Focus 1L ecoboost with less than 20000K on the clock.

@phipmcardle. Just put information into Auto Trader for the car I sold for 6500 in July. The AutoTrader valuation for July was £6650 I sold for slightly less than that. Current valuation £6560 so ever so slightly less than July AutoTrader valuation. Unscientific I know but there you go. Retail price slightly less than in July. Did a vehicle score which was 929.

The CRV for £900!!! Wow A bargain!!!!! Those CRVs are literally bullet proof! Generally they have low rust. A no brainer. Can anyone attend an auction? I might buy my next car at one lol
