This travelogue features “Christmas in Chocolatetown,” a Holiday-themed expedition to Pennsylvania operated by Mayflower Tours in November of 2017.
The 5-day 4-night motorcoach tour originated in Chicago and traversed the Pennsylvania Turnpike through the Allegheny Mountains. Featured in this video are visits to Hershey’s Chocolate World, Amish settlements in the Lancaster area, the National Christmas Museum (since sold and relocated), American Music Theater, and the State Capitol and Civil War Museum in Harrisburg.
My travelogues emulate the style of Hollywood's glorious CinemaScope/Technicolor epics of the ‘50s. I'll bet you never heard composer David Rose's obscure but effervescent Holiday for Trombones (1956), which fits the Pennsylvania Turnpike scenes like a '57 Chevy Impala.
