Kim found a little silver dome in her scrap pot, so decided to have a play and see how she could create an interesting hollow design and turn it into a shadow box with a garnet stone.

I love it, I started making jewellery 3 months ago and have copied chain from Dynamis and Nick's creative stuff. I smelt my own gold/silver and have a Durston mill to make my own wire/plate. I really like this design and am going to make it. Just got a Smith little torch up and running so I'll use that to solder it. My wife prefers silver "thankfully" but I like to work in gold more. I make 18k by mixing 3 parts 999.9 Au with 1 part 999.9 Ag. Thank you for sharing your knowledge as I have a lot to learn but I'm learning fast. I've worked in metal all my life but only in hundreds of tonnes, after a near death accident I can't work offshore anymore so took up jewellery. Turns out I've found in jewellery a job that I love.👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

This is the first video that you have made which I have seen, but I have just watched a couple before this one, this morning, and I am going to be checking all of the other ones out, very soon. As someone who has only been trying to make silver jewellery for nearly a whole year(because I have COPD and Asthma, I have to shield from the virus, and I needed something to do that was constructive, unlike adult colouring books) now, and I started by using sterling and fine silver wires, as well as using silver clay, for making very basic earrings; necklaces and bracelets, with shells and things that I have casted in silver clay, as well as using good natural stone beads, or very good quality glass beads too. But I have lots of ideas that mean I have to start using silver sheet, and that means that because of shielding I have to get all of the tools, as well as some instructive books, to teach myself, so obviously I don’t know a lot about making jewellery, or about stones(but I have got some beautiful stones from your shop) yet, which is why I am reading books, but I have found videos even more helpful, because I can see how things are done by watching videos like yours and the bench, on YT. And, so having said that I am new to doing this, can you answer my simple question, which is what is the laser paper that you used, and do you buy it with the shapes/texture already on it, or do you need to have the right equipment to make the shapes/textures yourself? I thank you in advance, for the hoped for reply, but also I thank you for the videos that you all have uploaded, because they’ve been very helpful already, and when this crisis is over, I hope that I can come and see some of the stones that you have, and buy them without having to wait for the post to come, so once again I thank you for the videos and for the online shop too, please please keep on keeping on............ Jon.

I love this & would love to have a go, I’m a beginner & this little challenge is right up my street. However, I don’t know how I can make the Mandela print or any imprint without a rolling mill. Any advice or tips would be great😃 Thank you
