In this video, we showcase the simple method to achieve signet ring. Using 2 key parts, the bone shaped shank and a flat plate for the top. This is the modern take on the previously used only handmade cabochon ring and we replace the stone with flat lid to make signet ring instead.

thanks for the vid- im a beginner but like the modern shape of these style rings. what is the formula for making the bone shape in the first place? not sure how to go about it. i would like to try this with a square stone i have (been meaning to do something with it for so long) would this work with a square shape stone

hi! for this oval shape, the best way to get the dimension right is experimenting with paper. Cut out the bone shape paper and try to fold into the ring shape, then adjustment from there. the square one, we have other video which do this type of signet ring in rectangular shape, check it out here, would be same priciple, just in the square top! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rsxmaNF8lpvNn5c.html

It's a very common pattern. Check out your library for some books on jewelry making. Always use wood on wood for shaping to begin. Using plyers, they're putting in unnecessary marks. A small wooden headed (or neoprene) hammer on a wooden ring stick. Using these, it keeps from thinning the metal, and work hardening it. If you roll out metal, it hardens it. Soften it up again by heating (not beyond dull red stage!) and quenching it - use "pickle" which is a mild water/acid mixture which should be in a small crockpot (kept warm). DROP the piece in it, do NOT place it in or you could crack it where you held it with tweezers. If you don't put marks in, you don't have to grind them out. And, to shape the inside of the ring, after using a file, wrap a piece of wet/dry sandpaper around the wood ring stick and put the ring on it, rub til you're happy. Don't make the bottom of the walls inside the ring Too thin or sharp! And filing- do NOT scratch back and forth with it - it ONLY cuts on the Push. So, push the file, lift it, go back and push it away from you again) . they're dulling their files, and not getting the job done easier. Have fun!

I dont have one for you due to nature handmaking minor fixing or large tolerance is still workable. I recommend you to cut out the paper and try to fold/bend to shape first, then the easiest way to do this type of ring.

Actually. We don’t have in hand. So just experiment with cut out paper to check if it can fold nicely before adjusting to your size and shape :)

Make a cardstock template first. And painters tape to adjust and refine your size. Then trace it or scribe it on the metal.

The best way to do sizing, if you not drawing the CAD and measure the edge, is experiment with drawing and paper. and cut out the paper and fold into the target shape. then you can adjust the sizing accordingly if needed.

Google "signet ring templates" and you'll find plenty that you can print off. I find it easier to glue the template to the silver and saw out the shape. 🤘

Normally, I'll make another "ring" to slide into the opening so the finished ring is more rounded. Leaving it open like this tends to be uncomfortable, imo.

ผมดีใจและรู้สึกดีนะ ที่ยังมีคนสนใจอยากทำอาชีพนี้อยู่ แต่ก็ขอพูดจากใจจริงในฐานะผู้ประกอบการว่า ขอโทษด้วยที่เราช่วยอะไรไม่ได้มาก ธุรกิจนี้มันไม่ได้ดีเหมือนเมื่อก่อนแล้ว อยากจ้างเพิ่ม พัฒนาคนเพิ่ม แต่สุดท้ายแล้ว งานไม่มีจ่ายก็ไม่มีปัญญาจ้างเหมือนกัน มันไม่มีเส้นแล้วหางานยากหรอกครับ หน้าตาไม่สำคัญ แต่พวกผมไม่งานเยอะพอมาจ้างเพิ่มจริงๆ ส่วนเรื่องฝีมือไม่ดี จุดประสงค์วีดีโอนี้ไม่ได้ทำมาเผื่อโชว์ความสวยงาม แต่ประการโชว์วิธีมากกว่า เลยอยากโชว์วิธีกาาทำจริงๆที่ทุกคนสามารถทำตามได้นะครับ
