The moment Brie stopped using humor as a coping mechanism, the room fell silent and actually listened. This woman said what all those women felt at some point in their career. They always mention how painful rejection is, but never in depth. Not like how Brie talked about that kind of heartbreak. This is the moment you rarely see Brie in because there's always this wall (humor as in her case) to not let people get too close and actually see her. I love this set of women in this roundtable :)

Toni Collette is one of the greatest living actresses of all time. She has never given a bad performance. Ever. In everything she does she gives it everything she has. And I love everything’s she’s ever done and every film or show she’s done it in. From Muriel’s Wedding to Japanese Story to United States of Tara to that knockout performance (that was unjustly snubbed by the Academy) in the terrifying film Hereditary. She’s probably my all time favorite actress. And I believe she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves.

Wow, the number of times Galloway cut these people off is ridiculous and incredibly rude. @@thevillainwasright2601 Exactly. Every interviewer has to stop the conversation to move on or hear from someone else at some point. This has nothing what's over to do with him being a man. They cut each other off all the time too and start giving their own answers is opinions. Nobody is mad at them. This actually happens all the time in regular conversation that people don't even realize it. But when it's filmed and dissected over and over, it becomes a misogynistic interview by a man who is trying to control and silence women by cutting them off. This whole string of comments on the video is hitting a bit too hard in the sensitivity category for me. Sometimes people take things way too seriously or personally. He did a great job. It's different interviewing one person when there's only one point of view. This has seven. So they can all keep one conversation going, but it's still an interview and there are more topics to cover. He asked great questions that opened up great discussions. And as for the people who disliked his comments about women directing: women have made time for acting for decades. Being away from your family to act is no different than time away to direct. It's a choice.

It's funny how people give so much importance to these people. They are just entertainers. A profession never considered noble. Today we pay heed to them because of glamor and all. We see a person in a movie, relate to them through our imaginations and then feel attracted to them, without realizing all that was just a faced. An actress plays the role of an athlete, we give more importance to the actress rather than the athlete. Just shows how shallow our society has become.

Interviewer: Has that changed your view point professionally - having kids? Does it make it less important for you? Cate Blanchett: What the children or the job? Interviewer: Does it make job less important? Cate Blanchett : No umm..you just have to become...I mean you've just had a little one...sweet bean...um...it just makes you really economical. I don't think I recall any male actor in any interview ever being asked 'So, is your job less important you now that you've had kids?'. I think Blanchett did a good job of remaining calm in the face of a silly question. The reason why she rebuffed the question with humour and mentioned the fact that he himself has just had a child is because she was subtly trying to say 'Well you've just had a kid, and you're still doing this aren't you? Why are you asking me if my job is still important to me??'

Just to correct.. Cate motioned to Carey Mulligan when she said you've just had a baby. Anyway.

Yeah I thought the question was quite silly. Otherwise interesting interview but some of the questions are quite basic...he keeps stalling the conversation

Watching Jennifer Lawrence and Helen Mirren side by side is like watching a girl watching her future self and vice versa, or watching the outcome of a time-machine or something. They look so much alike.

+Bikin Film Yok! Not really. Helen Mirren has grace, class, and she's British. Jennifer Lawrence is a typical American Hollywood "it" girl. They're both blondes but that's about it.

1. there's no such thing as a british accent. it's either english, scottish or welsh. and 2nd. why are you acting as if you've never heard of an english accent your entire life? bit weird of you lol
