I'm kinda scared what happens if one of Gen 3, that isn't Marine decides to graduate. I feel like Marine is closer to her genmates in general. Though most likely Marine will stay for the remaining Gen 3 members. I think the saddest idea isn't being the first of your Gen to graduate, it's being the last one to stay.

There's something comforting about hearing Marine be so sincere with everybody. I love Sincere Marine as much as, if not more than, Bottom Left Marine. Having her as a friend must be a great asset. Kanacoco aren't going to let their bond with Marine break and vice versa.

Coco was always so strong. Out of all the girls she faced the most and worst hardships all while being a pioneer among pioneers. Not at Kizuna Ai level but only a single step removed from that level IMO. If such a strong girl like Coco can suddenly graduate, who is to say the same won't happen to any of the girls tomorrow? Marine finding it depressing is very understandable. Anyone can die at any time and there's nothing any of us can do to stop it.

I can honestly know how senchou mustve felt, like when i worked in retail i made a really good friend there and together we would have fun and help out the store to where it brought it a more positive reputation. Then when he had to be let go due to an incident with the store i felt like i was going to lose a major reason to stay. I even thought about quitting but i stayed. I left a year later. A lot of reasons for people staying in the place they work at is mainly due to the people around them, if they can have someone they can call a good friend then its makes it a bit harder to just leave. We would leave normally since it was a dead end job but without those people that make it feel good to be there are gone then it just makes it that harder to stay. Its nice to see though that the other members are there for Marine. Her friends and mentors, plus she has a lot of stuff planned out too. I dont see her leaving anytime soon.

This is the first time a holomem actually graduated; Aloe stopped after debut and another member got fired. So it's no doubt every holomem is shaken up about it. I'm sad that she graduated, but I'm also happy that she was there, putting smiles on everyone's faces, especially during last year.

Based on her honesty and the same from other Vtubers, I think we will see a huge increase in Collaborations. They were all impacted by the lack of time they had to make memories with Coco, and feel the weight of not doing the same with others.

I wish I knew her back up / personal youtube channel, so I would go there if she ever decides to graduate, like I did with Coco. But the fact that I know no such backup makes the idea terrifying.

this actually illustrates one of the reasons i was most worried about Coco’s graduation. from what i’ve seen and actually heard from some Japanese themselves in interviews a few times, is that they tend to follow trends and Kaichou being such a strong personality she is easy to see people follow, so sadly i almost expect that at least one if not more Hololive members will follow Coco to graduation soon. i really hope i’m wrong, they all seem like strong independent women so i’ll have faith that i am! 🙏🏻

As much as i wanna say I'm surprised, I'm really not. This still hurts me and I'm justone of the many fans, I wouldn't blame any one of them for thinking that way. Coco's Grad really hurt so many people. Like Kanata said, Coco is her family. Not being able to see/hear her along with the other members of this "family" they've created anymore since she's not able to take her assets since it's Hololives ownership hurts. And to top it off it really seems like she Graduated reluctantly which makes it worse. Almost everything she did in the final times since her announcement and just seeing how sad the other members are. Even the things she said and part of Kiseki Note paints that picture. It's saddening to see since she was really a driving force behind the growth and viewership for Hololive and literally the reason we have an english branch. Just watching her helped so many people smile and brightened their day. So to see Coco basically go through what feels like the equivalent of "a forced termination", with a smile trying to stay positive is HEARTBREAKING, and leaves such a bad feeling cause you want to be happy but it's hard too. I can only imagine this is the feeling when anime characters watch someone who's close and had such an impact on their life just sacrifice themselves so their best friends or loved ones could live on when trying to slow down a villian. If she'd openly said she was retiring because she wants to (which i don't think she actually has). It'd be somewhat easier to take yes, It'd be hard still but it won't have this sour feeling of her being forced. Over these last months we've seen just how much more affected Coco was than she said or looked. She was holding back, but it must've been really depressing to be in such a black sheep position, to constantly have to keep restraints on her own chat in case of anti raids, she even felt like no one wanted to collab with her because it would be "too dangerous" for the other girls (obviously she was wrong, but maybe there was a part of truth that made her think like that). There was no way she could stay in the long run, how unhappy would she have gotten if she didn't graduate now ? KZfaq restrictions are a thing, sure, but if she goes back to what she did before, she's still gonna have to deal with it, so I don't think it's a major reason for her departure.
