Just one word of advice/wisdom: Please remember to take the watches off your wrists before you go on stage for a performance. They distract from the overall affect.

Just one word of advice/wisdom: maybe take the time to learn the difference between "detract" and "distract", as well as "affect" and "effect", before posting a comment on KZfaq (which is incorrect anyway - whether choral singers wear watches or not makes absolutely no difference to the overall sound of the choir. Why would it??)

@@markdavies6384 Please pick up the nearest dictionary in your home, assuming you have any books on hand, which is highly doubtful given your arrogant and uninformed response. Nothing "DETRACTS" from this amazing performance; however, the superfluous jewelry/watches DISTRACT the audience from the overall "AFFECT" (not EFFECT) of the performance. From Webster's Dictionary: AFFECT is usually a verb meaning "to produce an effect upon," as in "the weather affected his mood." EFFECT is usually a noun meaning "a change that results when something is done or happens," as in "computers have had a huge effect on our lives." Ergo: You are a quasi-illiterate troglodyte. Please dry up and blow away. TIA.

@@leoholder7839 Actually, they do. Any performer who went through a SERIOUS conservatory or school of music would have been taught their freshman year NOT to leave gewgaws on their person when performing, even if they couldn't hold a tune.

Nothing DETRACTED (took away) anything from this wonderful performance; however, the shiny, extraneous bling/gewgaws DISTRACTED (drew the audiences eye away from) the vocal art that was taking place.
