Holster U in a on going series where we will talk everything holsters. The info shared may be redundant to some. To others it may help you make a decision on what brand and or style of holster you may want or need.

you should go over the tourniquet mounts on those holsters and the varieties of holsters it can be mounted on.

It can be mounted on any current safariland holster make.

Wish they’d make this style with the G45 and the streamlight TLR7. The G17 gets all the love.

I totally agree. I carry a pistol in this type of rig as a backup weapon to rifle. I want to keep things as light and compact as possible. I would think there's a big market for g19/g45 with tlr7a, very surprised they don't make this holster

Gen5 g17 mos with holosun 509t,which model would you chose when buying a new holster,my main concern is that hood wont close over optic.

you won't have any issue with the hood. We stock the 6390rds for the G17 which is a level 1 holster. you can see the mods we offer here as well as the IG page and at Rdrgear.com

ALS is Automatic Locking System. SLS is Self Locking system.

I will have to go back a look. It's been said both ways. In my experience. Active locking and self Locking. This was one of My very first videos. I may have fumbled a bit.

They sell a mounting plate adapter for the safariland on their website. I’m sure that’s what he’s using here.

*Why is one holster a level 1 and the other a level 3 if these two holsters are only different because it doesn’t have the hood self locking system?*

Its very odd I know, and no one really seems to have a definitive answer. in the LE community the level 1 is refereed to as a level 2 by some. The holster itself being one level and the locking mechanism being the second. the Majority refer to the locking system only hence the level 1, go right back to including the holster itself along with the ALS and the SLS hood and calling it a level 3.

Because with the sls, you have to push foward and down. The levels of retention are the motions you have to go through to get the hand gun out.

Do you have custom holster for CZ SP01 da/as ?? Because safariland they has been sleeping on this request from me past two years..

not currently an option, keep in mind their core market. Unless a major US player MIL or LE brings on any CZ pistol they will continue to pass is by, The cost to spin up a complete new holster is very expensive, the ROI for in may opinion is just not there. I know that sucks for a lot of CZ community.

Safariland customer service, are a bunch of scam artist. After purchasing one holster at a promo code price, they kept sending me holsters and charging my credit card. I then sent back the holster after paying for the shipping and handling myself. They then refunded me the promo code price, and charged me the full price. And would not refund me the difference. Buy a holster from someone else, anyone else.
