Exposing psychic frauds has never been funnier. Theresa Caputo fails. John Edward fails. Sally Morgan fails. Every psychic reading is full of misses that our confirmation bias overlooks. This epic psychic cringe fail compilation takes some of the best psychic mistakes and exposes them to the world. Jane Wallace, Char Margolis, The Psychic Twins, Jesse Bravo, Derek Acorah, James Van Praagh, and Joe Power are all exposed in this delightfully hilarious collection of medium and psychic blunders. Thanks to James the Amazing Randi, Banachek, Paul Zenon, and Derren Brown for exposing psychic tricks, debunking mediums, and promoting the truth. Enjoy! :)

@Utubealt 94 Absolutely, they charge hundreds and hundreds and they just keep taking it from people in mourning or massive emotional distress, and when the miss they just start shouting random things or put it back on the person for not remembering correctly, like is said at the start, our brains are wired to hone in on positives so an hour later these poor desperate people remember two things the psychic stumbled on and completely have blanked out the 80 other complete misses. As you rightly say, this is unadulterated fraud

@@WaterBottleBlues101 True story: My sister had a huge problem with Sylvia, she hated her. She hated so much that she actually went to one of Sylvia's "readings". After the show, she approached Sylvia with an old black and white photo and told her that she found the photo in her mom's attic and desperately needed to know who the young man in the photo was. Sylvia being the con artist she was asked for a "donation", Christine paid her like $20. Sylvia (as soon as she had the money) immediately quipped "That's your grandfather, Honey and he says that he's crossed over and is happily with his father." Christine says "Really? That's so great! I had no idea that my grandfather was James Randi!!" lol Sylvia had her security quickly wisp her away. lol She had no clue that she was looking at a photo of a young James.

How ironic that the most accurate way to 'predict' the future (intentionally or not) is to keep a slightly, yet clearly, cynical view of society and see how farcical important events become, when those who rule are so ridiculous and dangerous. Do you want to predict the future ? Just imagine how tomorrow could be even more ubuesque than today - no psychic needed. See the comedy in the masquerade ... and either laugh or despair - or do both at once.

Michael Tuz When my father was passing my mother wanted to use a spiritual healer. Of course it was down in Mexico (we live in Canada and my father was in a great cancer hospital) and they wanted a small fortune. My father said no, that he wasn't going to throw away the wealth he had built for my mother on some charlatan that preys on people's weakest and most desperate times. I hope I'd be that strong in my convictions if I ever have to come across that trail.

wschippr S Sounds like your father was an impressive person...a rational man of conviction. People like him disprove the adage that there are no atheists in foxholes. I've seen a number of people like him; folks who refuse to accept a comforting lie, even through great suffering. My sister was such a person. When she was dying in the hospital, she waved off the clergyman who came in to offer her absolution.
@wschippr1
@wschippr1 6 жыл бұрын
Michael Tuz Indeed, my mother isn't all that religious or anything, but desperate people do desperate things. I always hear people say, "what's the harm with spiritual healing/psychics/naturopathy/etc" and the answer was that. They wanted, by the time they would've been done hundreds of thousands of dollars (in usd) for doing nothing that would have helped. They prey on people who are hurt and are not thinking clearly and Drain them of their resources (they would have helped my mother refinance our farm, which was a huge red flag for my father being a forensic accountant). It's clearly predatory and people buying into here and there for laughs feeds the problem. It's harmful and it's disgraceful.

Ok, so here's my psychic story: We had a "psychic" come into the restaurant I was managing and she was just going all out with the customers "Oh, your father is in heaven watching over you" or "I feel your sons spirit, he's crossed over and he's looking down on you from heaven", and of course I'm doing my rounds while constantly rolling my eyes. So, she approaches me and offers me a free reading, I play along and she digs into my background and I let slip about my uncle having "unfinished business" and she tells me he's in heaven standing before God and that he's keeping me safe, to which I reply "My uncle was an unrepentant atheist til the moment he died and was convicted of killing 3 people in a nursing home so I'm doubting he's anywhere NEAR heaven"! She immediately packed up and left to uproarious laughter from the patrons! God, it was so terrible but it felt SO good, lol!

In all seriousness though, what would a material religious symbol have to do with the afterlife anyway? Why would there be religion in the next world when religion is an earthly concept? Even if Jesus were God, why would the cross be relevant? Shouldn't a sign from the afterlife be different than one from Earth?

I knew Houdini saw tons of mediums and psychics throughout his life in an effort to debunk, but I never knew he wife continued the "research" after his death. 🖤 What I love ab Houdini is that he was motivated by genuinely wanting to connect with his mother, and he always kept hope that it was possible, but he never let his confirmation bias or emotions skew his overall goal, which was truth. Every psychic he saw was a fraud and he ultimately concluded, however reluctantly, that contact with the dead was impossible. Long live Houdini and his healthy skepticism. ✊

Holy Koolaid I've had a couple of run in's with Joe Power, who gets very angry if you question him. I got involved because my Gran was a famous medium during Ww2 here in Liverpool. I hate to think that she was fooling people but every psychic I visit or investigate, including fellow Liverpudlian Derek Acorah, is so obviously fake once you understand how it's done.

Colin Veacock - Some people really do believe they have psychic powers. Your Gran might have been one of those. Depending on what powers she claimed, she may not have realized she was extrapolating from her knowledge of events and the people who came to see her.

@@julietfischer5056 well, my opinion is that everybody have psychic power. It is just an intuition, a source from which people get creative ideas for example. It is thoughts that you didn't think of and they appeared like from nowhere. And everybody can train it like anything else. And start to get more info. But the problem is to really know how to interpret it correctly because there is almost limitless number of sources and meanings and context. But it is a really complex topic in short, so whatever.

Houdini, in his time, could have exploited his game and become a "god"...his following was large and strong enough to become a cult. He refused, however, because he knew there was no such thing as magic. His partner wrote a wonderful posthumous book, showing how simple Houdini's escapes and tricks really were. Houdini was a great craftsman and honorable man. His wife was an honorable woman too...they told the truth. I admire people like Houdini and his widow....great entertainers, but rational people too.

I wish these videos were shown in schools as part of a curriculum on critical thought. Heck, I wish there was a curriculum on critical thought. I know way too many people who too easily fall for this stuff on a daily basis and not the forgivable hard to notice confirmation bias that sometimes slips past the best of us, but rather the embarrassing this is so obviously bullshit and you can't see what's plainly right in front of you.

Well more fool them, no different to the masses that pass over so much money to televangelists or the church or any other religious nonsense is it? Yet people are fooled by this shite all the same because they don’t stop and think or have poor education, critical thinking is something you do if you have intelligence, it can’t be instilled in you. Easy to believe this stuff when you’re a child with an impressionable brain but Santa, myths and ghosts should be left behind when you grow up, some of us don’t unfortunately.

It's the same basic "desire" these predators feed on that allows us to still have so powerful religious organisations: fear of the unknown, the big "beyond" death, the uncertainty how it all will go on without us... ultimately comfort and closure that they promise, but of course cannot ever truly deliver. all the while living comfortably off the pain of others.
