My dog died today, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and lost the will to live, she was 7, I was in school that day when that happened and my dad told me that 3 hours ago. I was in the "life sucks" mood most of the day. To cheer myself up I decided to watch the home alone movie review to see what you think about it. Thanks to you, I laughed in the whole video just seeing how happy you are and full of energy, excitement and just how much you loved this movie. I will watch home alone for the 6th time on Christmas day and I will always remember my dog, she is now in a better place. R.I.P Tiffany

Commander Shepard Saying "I grew up with this as a kid" is quite a bit different from saying "I saw this as a kid." I grew up on SpongeBob because I watched it all the time. I didn't grow up with The Fairly Odd Parents, because, while I saw it as a kid, I only saw a couple.

Good movies are actually rated well, rotten tomatoes is so inconsistent with their ratings. Home Alone got a 7.5 on IMDb while Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 55%. How the hell does that make sense? Plus their highest rated movie of all time is Wizard of Oz so that speaks to the credibility of their site.

Fupe Liasco You realize rotten tomatoes is just a collection of other reviewers statinf whether they like it or not and forming a percentage out of it. They aren't the ones doing it, its the critics that did. Many critics loved the wizard of oz, not many critics loved home alone so thats why home alone has a lower score.

That's what makes it worse. Who gives a shit if the critics thought that home alone wasn't that good if it's clear that audiences loved it? They try to act so professional and over-analyze movies, it's supposed to be a feelgood movie and the critics are talking about how the director wasn't up to par. The directing was just fine and the realistic rating should be a 7.5 but apparently the critics can't enjoy a movie.

"Home Alone" came out when I was a freshman in high school. I never think of it in nostalgic terms. But I do think it's funny and has a great Christmas time feel to it.

Even looking at it from a critical standpoint I feel the movie doesn't deserve that low a rating. It isn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it's a well-made and enjoyable film in its own right.

The moment i stopped with rotten tomatoes was a few years ago and saw home alone 2 was 24% and home alone 3 was 30%, but i think that changed, and i know this has nothing to do with home alone but how is polar express only at 56% 😂

Had to come back to this review after you’re most recent JW video. Can’t believe you didn’t grow up with Christmas! At least you grew up with this gem of a film. And it must feel so good to play this every Christmas now.

I was raised a JW Like Chris But, I never got baptized That's a very serious step to take Anyway, I grew up watching this gem every December! My Mom, who's a very devout JW, hates Christmas films But, this and the second film are the only two Christmas films she can tolerate Daddy never got baptized, either But also loves this movie My sister, who got baptized 9 years ago, also loves this film! We would all watch it every December!

I honestly did even know that this movie was older than I was until I turned ten. Macaulay Culkin and Lindsey Lohan were two of my all time favorite kid actors. It such a shame that their personal lives screwed them up so much.

This past January, I was in Chicago and went to Home Alone house and other sites. It was snowing outside and seeing the house, as well as the church was like a spiritual experience. I definitely recommend visiting the house when you are in the Chicago area.

I love Home Alone. It's one of my most favorite Christmas movie in the 90s. John Hughes made a great script with great catchy lines to remembered them. Even John Williams score is top notch. Has good laughs and sad scenes. It made me cry or something. I love it. I'm missed the kid actor now. It's an A+ for an American Christmas classic. Never gets old.

I just noticed the bleeding bandage on the old mans hand changes throughout the film. In the store it’s cut up, in the church (where he goes to heal) it has a bandaid and in the end (when he’s with his family) the hand is clean. Pretty cool little tidbit.

In the movie Home Alone Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin McCallister is very misunderstood and even though I like Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin he becomes more resourceful and becomes the man of the house defending his home from two criminals and learns to love and appreciate his family.
