Haaa! Deconstructing footballs that seemingly fell from heaven was a favourite hobby of my old black lab Albert- not sure the neighbours appreciated his skills though 😂😂

Tip: when you paint something in the house, write what you painted on the lid of the can in sharpie so when you store the extra you know what it’s from!

I also take the little paint swatches that I choose and write the location where the paint was used, in case I use all the paint and take the can to the recycle.

we save the lids if they have labels on them so you have a swatch and you can write where you painted :)

And on the object in sharpie 'wet paint' so you only have to paint over the sharpie and not all the smudged paint 😅

I have a spreadsheet for all the paints I've used on projects (some are the same colour but different finishes) so if I need to touch anything up, I can be sure that I use the right tin ☺️

Caulking the cracks in your stairs/trim would finish it off perfectly!!!

I didn't know I needed drawers in my closet until I saw this and now I can see it's my missing piece. Staircase looks awesome. I, personally, just feel that the railing should be painted. Maybe black like the frames for harmony.

If i did the dresser thing, the drawers would not fit and the metal holder things would be upside down! I’m just talented that way 🤷🏼♀️😂 Great job Becky!!!

Last time I painted our stairs, my dog Riley ran down them immediately after I was done before I could stop him. Adorable paw prints everywhere. (I left one of them because I thought it was cute) 🐾

You should slide your drawers over and move all your long items to one side so it hangs in the empty space. this is definitely already recommended but I'm saying it anyways!!! [edit] SHOULD have watched the whole video... you can fill in the gaps on the trim as well and paint them and it will looks SUPER seamless. I did it in my apartment and it looks AMAZINg but I used silicone (what I had on hand)

Yes!! She should use calking to fix wooden seems of the stairs for example. It makes it look so much better just seamless. And it is honestly so easy, fast and cheap to use. Escpecially with all the diys they do!

That gallery wall is epic! I swear I’m not coming for you, but I would really like to see that railing sanded down and restained... but it’s your home so whatever makes you happy. (Ps, I have pretty much the same wood railing in my rental apartment).

For the left over drawer, you could put wheels on it make a top cover from cloth and put it under your bed! ...everything looked great, until Danny walked on the painted steps! Lol😃

The staircase gallery wall looks awesome! I don`t think I have a totally blank wall in my house... Ok, maybe in the bathroom. But since I`m a photographer, I love decorating the house with photos (and art pieces that I buy on my travels). It just makes me feel so good looking at it and brings me such cherished memories!

That ball didn't stand a chance! The pup must be thrilled to have you home all day!!! Learned a lot from this video! Very helpful to see how you took apart those drawers and put up the gallery wall! Love that the pup showed you the paint wasn't dry. Wouldn't be real life without that! Possible name: The cobbler's kid gets shoes. (There is an old proverb that the tradesman's kid is the last to benefit from his skill, so the cobbler's kid is the last one to get shoes. The Sorry Girls are always making other people's spaces beautiful but probably are too tired or busy to take care of their own spaces until NOW when you are going to share your diy renovations for your own home.)

Samara Nicholls OCD isn’t an adjective it’s important to remember what it is. a disorder. remember to use it properly so that you don’t undermine the severity of it. i know people with OCD and they’re always bothered when someone uses it incorrectly. telling you for the future

I love this episode so much! It felt like OG sorry girls in the best way. Becky you’re amazing! Can we just be friends and have DIY marathons? 🤗🤗 The dresser looks so great! I wish ikea was still delivering to CA. The mat is perfect for that spot. The stairs were probably a labor of love but turned out totally revamped. And that gallery wall... can we just pause for a moment to admire that! Please keep them coming! I’ve moved so much furniture around and have a list of DIYs I’m getting to with all this extra time. Stay safe, this is my 5th week home trying to stay happy while I stay healthy too.
