This live version shows just how good these guys are vocally. No studio production, just their pure 5 part harmonies. Love Tim starting it out with his smooth bass voice. Rob has such a sweet voice. Also love hearing Adam's voice in this song. These guys are the best a cappella group out there in my opinion. This shows "How Great They Art".

I am 66 years old & I've seen many solo artists & bands & not one of them EVER, EVER came to us in bad weather to give us a little something of heir time to make us feel better or makes us love them more for being good people, they would just cancel the show because of bad weather & we may not see them for months or years later, but not Home Free....they are going to go out of their way to let their fans know how much they appreciate & love us. Now come on, how can anyone NOT fall in love with them & not just because of their phenomenal talent sent to us from our loving God, but because they are 5 of the most sweetest & caring men I've EVER witnessed in the music/entertainment business. I am sooooo thankful I have them in my life. They bring me such joy ♥♥♥♥♥ I will add, that I love to watch your reactions to Home Free, because you not only see their talent & comedic side, but that you also Get It & that's awesome to see from you youngsters. This performance shows the goodness of the hearts of these men. They are humble,down to earth people. And this should settle once and for all that their talent is God given, raw,no microphones and beautifully perfect. They are the best on so many levels.

I've been trying to get someone to react to this for years. It was an amazing night. I was told by one of the organizers afterward that the guys had been offered to be ridden up the hill where the pavilion and their fans waited. The guys refused the ride saying if our fans could climb that hill in the rain so can we. Gotta love these guys. 2 other points I'd like to make. Rob has the most powerful voice in the group. Even the guys will admit this. He went to college for vocal performance where he trained in jazz, pop and opera. And I want the reactor's who think that last note on the official video was manipulated or boosted.. Here's the proof it wasn't.

@Marg Fried , This is definitely so amazing!! Five angels who soften the violence of nature. This is heavenly. And what you report here about Rob's voice, I agree with you 100%. Of course they all have great voices, but there is something about Rob's voice that touches me so much. So beautiful.

On top of all that with the wind blowing and the difficulty of not being able to hear each other as well as when they have mics and speakers is amazing. The harmonies are still on point. These guys are just amazing.

They got wet running to the pavilion shelter to do this for the remaining fans who stayed and were under the shelter. No mics or anything, no enhancements of any kind, it was just them and still sounded amazing!

I so agree with you...this is the absolute best version of this song ever! 5 heavenly voices that bring pure perfection! I was lucky enough to see them the night before in Branson MO...it was my 1st concert and certainly not my last...it was absolutely awesome! Thanks for this one!

How could we not love these guys??? Most bands would have been like, "Oh, well." Climbed on the bus and drove away. Home Free didn't want their fans to be terribly disappointed and to save at least part of the experience for them - so they did this. They walked to the pavilion getting wet on the way to do this for their fans. It's no wonder we Home Fries are so fiercely loyal to them. They sound amazing, even off mic. So, to all the nay sayers who claim their sound is all dependent on production - they should refer to this video. We all know Home Free is no joke. They are the real deal. Great reaction.

I saw the Monkees at an outdoor concert a year or two before Davey passed away. A storm rolled in and interrupted the concert for about an hour, but then they came back out and finished. Defiant true professionals.

Mo. is an abbreviation for Missouri, I had seen them the night before I believe in Branson Missouri. How I would have loved being in that Pavillion in the rain and lightening and Thunder and to have heard that Amazing song from these 5 guys who make Magic !!!

Lyle, you said it all... just otherworldly GREAT. I have seen this probably at least 10 or 15 times, and it is just as beautiful as the 1st time. This video is PROOF they are as good as they seem & there is no faking their music on the stage( as I have heard several reactors claim). Thank you !! Condolences on the passing of The Queen. She was a remarkable woman.

I love listening to my favorite tenor #1 (Adam Rupp) sing It Is Well, then immediately listen to favorite tenor #2 (Chris Rupp) sing his version of It Is Well. Adam, Chris and Tristen are my favorite singing siblings of all time! My Rupp siblings playlist is definitely my favorite! Just phenomenal!

I just found this version about a month ago, Home Free was completely amazing that night, not that any of us are surprised by that. I'm also beyond thankful that someone thought to video HF & then share it with all of us. I've watched this so many times I've lost count, & it still gets to me every time, sure do love these talented men!! 🎶🥰🎶

Wow, I've never heard this before. But Home Free is so incredibly good. This version reminds me why I think HF is the best a-cappella group. Even under such circumstances it sounds fabulous. So fantastic.Just 5 angels fighting the natural violence I was also thrown back into the past for a while. I came to realize why Rob's voice always means so much to me. We used to have prayer meetings at our house in a small house. Then we also sang this song, but mostly in Dutch. My father who was the pastor then had the lead. His voice was just like Rob's. So pure, so beautiful, so powerful! When Rob sang here, all memories came back and I saw myself as a very small child sitting on the floor again, listening to my father with admiration. My father died 3 days before my 6th birthday. I am almost 59 years old, but I will never forget those moments. And I really love Home Free. 💖 Thanks for the great reaction!❤

I agree 100% this is my absolute favorite of this song. Just pure talent no nothing just their voices. I wouldn't expect anything less from the guys either the fans werent going to get their concert but the guys wanted to show their appreciation to the Home Fries. The projection they had!!!!

2 Things: 1) anyone who puts their harmony down to studio processing, just got proven wrong, and 2) I imagine it gave the Sheriff and his officers fits having Home Free not just in the middle of a crowd but just walking in and out through that crowd.

Lyle, do yourself a favour and check for more videos of this, because there are several different ones from different angels and they all have different magic to them. I agree, this is the best version off this song. I wrote a blog post about it back when this happened. The magic from this moment transferred through the stories told by those who were there and the videos to the fandom and we all walked on clouds for a few days being in awe for the pure blessings these five guys are. Thanks for reacting to this, Lyle. Have seen mention of this video in various posts but they never included a link and efforts to find it proved futile. The raw authenticity of this version definitely makes it a unique listening experience. Always special when Adam gets his turn to shine. ;)

I've seen this video before (and similar ones, just taken from a different angle), and it really shows they can still be amazing in less than ideal circumstances. Did you notice that when Austin is singing lead it's Tim switching between singing the top line, then jumping down to his bass line? There are also plenty of fan videos from concerts where they will sing "off mic", the three songs I've seen them do are How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping, and Auld Lang Syne. Worth a look.

The name is Kearny pronounced Carnee MO. I'd Missouri . This I have seen and I rewatch every time it is on. Rob really shows his brilliant talent such a sweet voice, and Adam's soft tenor. Need to hear him more.

Lyle, I reacted the same way you did! I've watched the original video probably 200 times & it always stirs my soul & makes my eyes leak, but this one (& I've seen it once before) just really made me Spiritually emotional with the storm happening around them & doing it with nothing other than their incredible voices & the silent crowd! Live or recorded this song always makes me cry in it's sheer beauty. I grew up listening to the Kate Smith version of this song. It's one that inspired me to sing throughout my own life. Home Free always takes it to another level. I have heard them live 3 times on tour and they have never disappointed me. EVER. An another note...accept my condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth. I cry along with the rest of the world for the end of life of this great Lady, but confident in the knowledge that she has been reunited with her beloved "Prince". To answer your question as well... it's Kearney, Missouri .... MO is the abbreviation for the state. So that's where this was done. Nice reaction, pray continue sharing music with us. Adam Rupp's contribution in the official video is hard to discern, exactly, possibly because the final production double-tracked his voice (maybe). But there was no doubt about his contribution in this version, and what a nice voice as well.

Being it’s been almost that long since I subbed to your channel, I can’t remember everything you’ve reacted to of Home Free. Did you react to the production video of the song? Of course, this one does up the ante being the weather was the reason for this particular performance being what it was. This song has a special meaning for me because of a relative who sang it beautifully when I was a teen. Home Free really brought it for this crowd! I do agree about Rob’s voice! It’s so pure and powerful. I was also excited that Adam had a brief solo. I wish he had them a little more often. He did on the Land of the Free album (“My Country ‘Tis of Thee”). I really enjoyed your reaction. I got chills during this one seeing the guys sing this for the fans in those weather conditions. They are a special group and that’s why they have such a large fan base.
