well, that's the 1st time I've heard of Tim being called "scary" !! Welcome to the World of Home Free! They are the only known Country A Capella vocal band. The have over 180 videos up on their channel and nearly 1/2 billion views. I think you'll be amazed to hear more of their music, as they are well known for their complex harmonies...also one does have a musical theater degree (Austin Brown the lead singer) and the other 4 have degrees in music theory. The also are fun guys & do some really goofy videos that are still quite stellar in their musicality....my suggestion for a 2nd reaction, would be a complete 180 turn and react to their cover of Dire Straits 1985 hit, "Brothers in Arms"...it'll blow your mind !!!

If you want an example of just how "bottomless" Tim's voice is (plus how scary he can look) check out their cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues"... The last note he hits and the look he has (thanks to terrific lighting) makes him look slightly demonic.

lol The ''scary' bass is five-octave Tim Foust, who is arguably the funniest of the group. (check out Story Time With Tim - Nae Nae if you don't believe it). Home Free is country at the core but sing all genres. This song is fairly ancient and was part of the track for the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. Way to many great performances to name and you really can't go wrong with any choice. They have some great originals: Dive Bar Saints, Love Me Like That, or Dreamer. Their recent cover of Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms is crazy good, as is In The Blood. For pure harmony, Helplessly Hoping, Seven Bridges Road. For more country, try their covers of Take Me Home Country Roads/John Denver, One Man Band, Woman, Amen/Female Mash up. For R&B/MoTown, Love Train, When A Man Loves A Woman, or Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On Mashup. For fun, there's the Butts Remix, Country Fried Pop Medley, and All About the Bass. And before I forget, beatboxer Adam Rupp does a solo at every concert. Pull one of those up and get your mind blown. Thanks guys.

I found these guys last year. This was the first song I ever heard from them & I was instantly hooked. The talent of these 5 men is insane. Together they are a perfect fit & complement each other so well. Tim Foust is the best bass singer in the business & Adam Rupp their beatboxer extraordinaire can make any sounds & is in a class by himself. They lean towards country but can sing any genre. They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

Ring of Fire. another Johnny Cash cover. 3. Champagne Taste (on a beer budget) Home Free original. 4. American Pie. A Don McLean cover with the original singer/song writer Mr. McLean himself. He chose Home Free to record the 50th anniversary recording of American Pie with him. 5. Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late, great Kenny Rogers. Kenny called Home Free to record this with him. The world of Home Free is an amazing place so welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Buckle up. Glad to have you!

Children Go Where I Send Thee is AMAZING!! as sung by Kenny Rogers and Home Free. They've also joined with the Oak Ridge Boys for Elvira. The little skit they do around Thank God I'm a Country Boy is cute and it doesn't cut into the greatness of their rendition. They joined with Lee Greenwood for God Bless the USA, filmed remotely during the quarantine and fit together perfectly.

Welcome to Home Free. They won the NBC show the Sing Off (2013) the year after Pentatonix won. They are amazingly talented. The beatboxer is incredible and has won championships. Funny enough, some of them did start in college as music majors. This song is over 100 years old and was made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou with George Clooney. Lots of singers have covered it. Chance, (he was filmed last in this video) did the mouth harp sound. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range. They can all sing and all take the lead depending on the song. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs. Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, Auld Lang Syne to hear great harmonies. Good reaction boys. You need headphones though.

He comes from Coalmining Country (Mountain Music). and last but not least "Billy Strings - Watch It Fall (Official Video)" Billy has set the bluegrass music world on its head... hence the last name "Strings" Hope you will give these a listen, I think you will really enjoy these (in my humble opinion) I look forward to hearing what you think~ Take Care

If you want to see more of their real personalities which is hilarious, check out country fried pop medley, or their butts medley. These guys are just young men cutting up, and I say that because I’m almost 60.

Barbershop didn't have a beatboxer, so it sounds quite different now. These guys are the only country acapella group out there that I know of and they are known for their harmonies and are quite good. Check out their "Folsom Prison Blues" cover ( A old Johnny Cash classic song)

Next, you need to listen to their cover of Johnny Cash's song "Ring Of Fire". They feature Avi Kaplan former Bass singer of Acapella group, Pentatonix. So, with Home Free' s bass, Tim Foust, that's double scary! Plus, Adam Rupp, the beatboxer really goes all in on this one. They put their own spin on the song, that's why it has millions of views.

You guys crack me up! I am a serious Home Free follower and am totally loving your reviews! By the way, this song is in a movie. Don't usually subscribe to reaction sites, but I'm making an exception. Keep up the good work!

I love that both of you stopped all movement when you heard Adam do the harmonica. That was so awesome!

Interesting that you made the connection to barbershop quartet as predecessors to this type of a capella. I agree and no one else has brought that up on other reactions. For fun, try their "Workin' For a Living".

The song was originally recorded in 1921 (orginally called The Farewell Song) but many think it is older then that. It has been covered by Bob Dylan and many many others. It was featured in the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou.
