This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim (without Avi) goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.

i just saw them and was only about 7 or 8 rows from the stage. Feeling like ruling rumble shock-wave of sound and the walls share was WILD!!!!!! That us the stuff of Marvel Universe lore!

They came up with this arrangement during the sing off which is also when they first identified as a country group. If you are interested they have a selection of episodes that go over their entire history on their website.

i just saw them in concert. Tim's bass is like subwoofer, Marvel universe, low!!! The building and seats LITERALLY RUMBLE and SHAKE and it comes at you like a rolling shock-wave. Super CRAZY!!! I tried to capture on video but it is sooooo LOW that it literally came out a DISTORTION - my phone couldn't pic it up. If you ever get the chance - SEE THEM LIVE!!! Truly AMAZING in concert. And who doesn't love a good Tim-Gasm!?!?!? Ohhh LA LA!!!!

These guys take it to a whole different level, and it's so refreshing. I love to analyze them. They are so interesting, and we musicians love to pick things apart, of course. For me, I am always so stunned about how I love each one of them for different reasons. I've never felt this way about a group. For instance, hey, Home Free, are you going to resolve that sustained chord? Maybe so, maybe not. You are truly wonderful musicians and so many people out there appreciate your talent. If you watch the “sing off” you can watch them sing this song and the judges went wild when Tim hit that low note! The arrangement and Adam Rupp’s beatboxing was on point!! Great reaction! I love Home Free😊

You guys HAVE GOT to react to some more PENTATONIX!!!!! The ONLY people y'all hurting by not, is Y'ALL!!! (Trust me, after you do, you WILL be mad at yourself for not doing it sooner...) I'd like to suggest~ "Love Again" which is an original song to PTX that features the original bass singer, Avi ( pronounced Ahhh~Veee 2011-2017) & "90's Dance Medley" which features the current bass singer, Matt (2017-Now). Kevin, the beatboxer for PTX is just as amazing as Adam Rupp... ~~BETTER IF YOU ASK ME~~ He will blow your freaking mind!!! You will NOT be mad that you did! 😉 ♥

This is a fun one. Believe it or not but when Home Free sang this on the NBC show the Sing Off Tim went even lower on that last note….goodness! Avi has a beautiful voice and it was nice to have him join on this song. They mixed it up on this Johnny Cash song. A country reggae beat which was so cool. Good reactions 🥰

If you like the low bass notes in this you should really check out some of the stuff from Geoff Castellucci. Considering the time of year I'd suggest his cover of The Monster Mash. You'll probably need to watch it a few times to catch everything going on, but every time will be extremely worth it. I'd love to see what you guys think of his talent.

These guys are definitely good, but do not compare to Pentatonix as far as I'm concerned. I was so sad Avi left the group; however, Matt was a great replacement. PTX's 'Hallelujah' or 'Mary did you know' could make you cry, they are so beautiful. 'Sound of silence' & 'Bohemian Rhapsody' are friggin' amazing & they have tons of other great tunes, as do Home free. Maybe I like PTX because they have a woman, 2 black men & 2 white men, although not sure what nationality Mitch is, so maybe not technically white. H
