I was thinking that as well - I've got an old subwoofer equipped set of computer speakers and Tim can shake the furniture. Listening on a simple laptop you might not even be able to render a G1 - which was what Tim's last note was.

Avi Kaplan is known for blowing PA systems at live Pantatonix shows because he is so low and loud; when he wants to be. As a former madrigal singer I admire both Home Free and Pentatonix for their skill and talent. Keep up the reactions and enjoying their art!

Home Free and Pentatonix are both phenomenal groups. Both groups actually are winners of the TV show "The Sing Off (Pentatonix in season 3, Home Free in Season 4. The guy who sang the 2nd verse is Avi Kaplan, who was a member of Pentatonix at the time. He left the group amicably in 2017 for personal reasons, and is now doing solo work. I highly recommend his song "Change on the Rise". Any way you slice it, though, you can't go wrong with either Pentatonix or Home Free.

Ok so here's some Home free history. The group was formed in 2000 by brothers Chris (cowboy hat-baritone that you will see in their videos prior to 2016) & Adam Rupp(beatboxer) in Mankato, Minnesota when they were young. By 2007 they had enough of a following to pursue music full-time. Rob Lundquist(tenor), another Minnesotan, joined in 2008. Texan Tim Foust (the bass singer has a 5+ octave range) starting guest subbing with them 2010. Tim joined them full-time in January 2012. Later that same year they met Georgia native Austin Brown (high Tenor) he joined them in January of 2013. They were on a reality TV singing contest show, THE SING OFF in December of 2013 and they won. In 2016 One of the founder's Chris Rupp left the group to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Alabama native Adam Chance (baritone/bass- 4-octave range) formerly of Street Corner Symphony. While they identify themselves as country they do so much more. They take pop songs and infuse some country in them or they take country songs like this one and change up the beat or put some soulfulness in them. It makes their music very interesting but what they are known the most for are their tight harmonies & the fullness of their sound. I still have to remind myself from time to time that there are no instruments used.

I love this cover of Ring of Fire too. The first singer was Home Free’s Tim Foust, the second one, wearing the beanie, was Avi Kaplan, an original member of Pentatonix. Both Tim and Avi are amazing basso profundos. As mentioned elsewhere, Avi left Pentatonix a couple of years ago and has just recently started releasing new music, most of it original, and on most of it, he sings all the parts. He had previously released an album called Sage and Stone with some friends, calling the group Avriel and the Sequoias. (Avriel is Avi’s given name; the Sequoias for Sequoia National Park near where Avi grew up.) Do check out Pentatonix. They also have great harmonies, and are very skilled at putting an interesting twist on songs, especially Christmas songs, you thought had been done to death. They and Home Free are in categories by themselves, and both are terrific.

Recent trend (probably for the past 2-3 years) are these acapella groups. There are usually no instruments used (sometimes they may include one lone instrument) but all of the sound you are hearing is made using only their voices (background sounds are done via beat boxing in the groups). Both groups have a primary beat boxer member, but most of the members do some beat boxing, depending on the songs. This group is Home Free, you need to listen to all of their songs on KZfaq. The guy who starts the song is the bass singer for Home Free - Tim Foust. The other bass singer (the guy with the full beard, wearing the knitted hat and who hits the really low note on "Wild", is Avi Kaplan. He use to be the bass singer for Pentatonix but stepped down due to their schedule. He has since done some solo stuff. I recommend that you also listen to all of Pentatonix songs.

The special guest was Avi Kaplan, the handsome bearded guy in the beanie. He is not part of that group but is a solo artist. Beautiful rich voice, sings a modern folk type music. Home Free is a great group. Their harmonies and the quality of their individual voices are amazing. Their beatboxer is also one of the best around. Tim Foust (Home Free) and Avi Kaplan (from Pentatonix) are two truly epic basses, both with amazing ranges to go along with those seismic low notes. You really can't go wrong listening to songs from either group... you could pretty much throw a dart at either of their songlists and come up with something you'll love.

Home Free and Pentatonix are hands down the two best a Capella groups ever. Avi Kaplan (Bass singer from Pentatonix) is a phenomenon. He does this "overtones" thing where he can sing two notes at the same time. His control is so great that he sings a song in the overtone range. Tim Foust (the other bass singer) has a natural freakish 5 octave range that's amazing. Home Free is amazingly talented and they just have a lot of fun. Check out more from Home Free and Pentatonix. You won't be disappointed.

Home Free is an A cappella group that won the 4th season of The Sing Off. Avi Kaplan is from Pentatonix, the group that won the 3rd seasn of the Sing Off. Pentatonix is a 3 times grammy award winners. They do many different types of music. Pop, EDM, etc I enjoy Home Free but Pentatonix, for me, are the best. Avi has left and they have a new bass named Matt who is very good and Avi is making his own solo music now and it's gorgeous and inspiring. He is open about dealing with anxiety, etc and many of his songs address those themes. He just could't deal with the pace that Pentatonix keeps. They tour constantlly and record while they are touring and it was more than could do anymore. They are all very supportive of each other. Home Free has some other wonderful songs, I'm sure plenty of people will recommend. If you enjoyed this and the harmonies, etc. the definitely check out Pentatonix They are really well known for their evolution videos, ie' Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Rhianna, Arianne Grande (some with Avi, some with Matt) but you could pick just about any video on their channel and it will be great. Hallelujah is a favorite of many. Imagine, Sound of Silence, Daft Punk, Love Again, Can't Hold Us, and on and on. Avi's stuff can be found at his KZfaq channel and it's all fantastic! I envy you the finding of all this amazing music. If you've never heard of Yebba, she's amazing as a completely different suggestion

You need to watch Home Free Butts Medley, it is so funny, you would really enjoy it! The harmonies on ring of fire were spot on! And Adam Rupp’s beatboxing is amazing! He won a beatbixing championship 2 times! Great reaction 🎉I love Home Free😊

Home free is one of a set of three bands who are bringing back pure voice. The other two are the great Pentatonix, and the true legends of Voice Play. They are friends, and routinely swap singers. Tim (home free) is the true lowest bass, Geoff (voice play) is master of subharmonics, while Avi (Pentatonix) is an extraordinary bass who is also a master of beat.

LOL I absolutely enjoyed, adored your reaction ----- YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!! The place to start !?! ... The SingOff vids (individual performances with judges comments). It's important that you listen from start to the end --- a lot of info here ......... and it's so damn good, entertaining to boot. im binge watching your reaction videos...for a couple of reasons...the main reason is the joy in your face when you get hit by emotion, and you let your feelings show without a care in the world..another is the explainations you give of how it is affecting you..and finally youre bloody gorgeous...there i said it

Now that you’ve done home free, you HAVE to do Pentatonix. Three-time Grammy award winning a cappella group. Avi, the first bass you heard in this group, was their bass up until about two years ago. Some good ones by Pentatonix are Hallelujah, Gold, I cant help falling in love with you, imagine, etc. the list goes on :)
