Over on the one lap side, ShadowofMiles was able to get a 17.89 second lap. Like the others, this was in part due to a hilljump, but his hilljump was so clean that he didnt have to tumble when landing on the track. This record would stand for over 4 years

For some reason this track makes me think about the Flight of Icarus. Optimism and pure glee encapsulate the track as the listener follows along it's steady, uplifting nature. But near the end, it feels like the listener, like Icarus, has flown too close to the sun. All of that wonder and excitement from the power of gliding over all is abruptly cut off as Icarus crashes down into the sea, while Daedalus watches in horror.

I honestly don't listen to very much synthwave these days; I tend to prefer searching for the predecessors that were actually made in the 80s that sound very much like synthwave. However, this one sounded so great that I just had to find it and add it to my playlist. And that's what I've done just now ;) (Also, yeah I’ve come from Summoning Salt)
@plazasta3 жыл бұрын
do you have some examples of predecessors from the 80's? My curiosity is peaked
@lego57453 жыл бұрын
Some that come to mind are Steve Brenner's album "Signals" from 1985, as well as him and Timothy Rempel's album "New Found World" from 1988 under the group alias "Vernal Equinox". Cybotron's track "Ride To Infinity" from 1979 (not to be confused with the American duo of the same name) isn't very synthwavy, but it is a very good electronic track. If I remember any more tracks, I'll let you know.
@plazasta3 жыл бұрын
@@lego5745 I've actually heard of Cybotron before (the Australian guys), my favourite song from them is Sonic Overdrive. The conclusion (I think I'm talking about the beginning of Part C, The Answer) is pure auditory bliss and one of the most satisfying pieces of music I've ever heard

Sphere_Cube's personal best was 7:48(.400), just two seconds behind Alaska. But on February 16th, he had a run within striking distance of the record going into Golf. And on Hole 1...he did *this.* [Chip in! Eagle!] It saved about 6 seconds. Hole 2 had a driver chip, and he finished on Hole 3 with an Eagle. In all, he saved 15 seconds over Alaska on Golf alone. It was enough to edge him out with a 7:43(.100), making it the first time someone had dethroned Alaska in nearly three years. And the best part about it? He did it while playing on 1.01.
