As someone who has traveled to Culiacán a couple times, I can tell you this. I never once felt in danger. If anything, I felt happy and free walking around the city. I’ve visited their parks, museums, their botanical garden and their zoo. I’ve seen the Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra perform as well. Also, I’ve tasted their cuisine. They have incredible seafood throughout the city, and throughout the state for that matter. People should understand that events like the 2019 shootout between federal police and the Sinaloa cartel are NOT commonplace. It was an isolated incident. Also, people should understand that the Sinaloa cartel has no rivals in the state of Sinaloa. Therefore, they do not have battles with other cartels in the streets, like in other states, where there are still violent turf wars. Give it a chance!

Mi bello Culiacán! Culiacán is no more dangerous than…Los Angeles or Chicago. Yes, it’s the Sinaloa Cartel capital…But they don’t go around messing with innocent people. Accidents do happen. Crossfire. But they are not looking to hurt anyone that’s not in that life. We live here peacefully. Never had a situation.

I've lived here in culiacan my whole life, it has his good stuff and his horrible things; part of the good ones is the food which is delicious (seafood) and part of the terrible things here is the economy and the average salary the companies pay for bachelor graduates, you can also find more narco culture among the locals than actual narco cartel members, a good portion of the population here overall the youngsters that live in the sorroundings of the city in low class areas feel pretty arrogant and badass they want to make you believe they know someone from el cartel de sinaloa or some crap like that

I can confirm culiacan sinaloa is not dangerous ! I've been there so many times and stayed for a month everytime I'd go ! Got alot of family there, and they can confirm as well ^_^

For me, Sinaloa is not the most dangerous country in all of Mexico. Crime is more in Jalisco, Reynosa, Guerrero. Hopefully you can get there, no need to be afraid

I was born in culiacán sinaloa with my ma and pa and where in the house I lived with my grandparents I can definitely say it was great place to grow up at but there was every once in a while where it just wasn’t that safe but it’s how we grew up so it doesn’t matter too much
