I say take all the hooks down. I'm sure you can find places all over the house to put them. I love hooks. You could put one set on the left wall entering the room. Or hang your mirror there. Your house has so many rooms...love it! But this new office.....LOVE it!!!

Karen you did such a great job of moving your office around, especially moving all the furniture by yourself. The wardrobe looks so much better away from the door. You could consider putting the wardrobe diagonally across the corner rather than against the wall, which would look nice if it fits. To fix the problem with your laptop cable, you could buy a mini power strip with a standard plug and velcro it to the side of the cabinet at the bottom. That way the large laptop plug can be plugged in on the side nearest the glass door instead. With your mint, don’t dehydrate the leaves as you lose all the flavour completely. Do what they do in Turkey and simply tear five medium mint leaves, or six large leaves if you like it stronger, in half (don’t cut them as contact with metal scissors or knife will make them bitter). Then tear three stevia leaves in half. Steep all the leaves together in hot water for 8 minutes and strain into a mug. I think the evening meal you cooked looked so yummy. I am going to make this for my hubby, because although I like fish very much, he absolutely loves fish and would eat it for almost every meal if he could.

13:07 Girl! Take the hooks down!! Don’t worry about eventual new owners liking the hooks! It’s your house now make it work for you. 👍 Its just hooks not removing a wall! You don’t need to leave it eventually for new owners and they may not even want it!

@@ThisMainerMom Or hang a collection of hats, small blankets, framed pictures, dried herbs etc. to make the hook areas look cozy and functional. The possibilities are limitless when it comes to hooks. (I am wondeing if the wood panels might look a different color if you remove the hook bars.)

You could move your tech (laptop) cabinet to the left so the plugs weren’t visible from the doorway and the cabinet was flush to the wall. Then put a plant to the right of the tech cabinet to camouflage your cords and outlet. You could adjust your shelves with the pegs to fit your Bible study books on the bottom shelf by raising the middle shelf up a hole or two. Keep the pretty floral paper thingy on top of your cupboard that has your Bible in it. Love your videos ❤

Hellooo Karen, the sun room is looking good, lovely light area,it’ll be wonderful to sit and watch nature while you drink your morning coffee. When we’ve visited the States we’ve often found the plugs/sockets? stick out from the wall, here in the UK our plugs are flatter and the cord comes out from the bottom, it’s more streamlined I think? Still that unit looked nice there, maybe a tall skinny plant as you say or a tall vase that had those sticks with lights would look good too. I could almost smell that basil, such a lovely, fragrant herb. Thank you so much for sharing your day with us. As always my lovely friend much love and light to you from me.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I agree, don't dry the mint unless you are preserving for the future. Just pour hot water over the leaves. I make a pitcher at a time and put the leaves in a strainer so they come out easily. Makes an incredible iced tea!

Maybe you could move the less used electronics into the small cabinet drawer you put your Bible & prayer journal in, and move the Bible & journal over to the other cabinet with books. Then all electronics would be together. There also are slim to the wall plugs with power strips you could get and use to solve your problem with the cabinet cart and also provide some surge protection for your electronics. So happy you're getting an office back.

You’re doing great job! I always think, “it’s not the way I’d do it but it’s your room”. But just a thought, you use the door to go outside and haven’t weave between the desk and little table. I’d keep that path more clear. I have the same folding table. It’s wide and big. Can you move farther to the wall for more room? Or get smaller table? I’d remove all the hooks except maybe one row for your purses or a bag or something if needed. Wardrobe could go in your bedroom perhaps. Just suggesting. You live there and know best. I always look forward to your videos. Keep them coming!

I've got a basket. Also you may be able to put the shelf inside the cupboard one or two holes up and your big books will fit standing. It's going to be great to have your office back. xx

Since your small cabinet with drawers and shelves has pegs, that means at least one of the shelves is adjustable (if not both). So, you could move the middle shelf (hopefully) up a peg or two and the big books would fit in it. Or, since you really have nothing on the one shelf, you could move the top one down to accommodate the books there.

Hey Karen, I have my chair against the back wall of my office and face my desk towards the window. I still have my view. Or maybe a slightly smaller plant table moved towards the door to the outside and your desk and small night stand in the corner? It would open up the space from one door to the other. ❤

I never dry my mint. I pour the boiling water over the freshly cut leaves and let it steep for a few min (I like mine less then 10 min). You actually don´t need to dry them.🤭 (Except if you want to preserve some for the winter.) I also often put some mint leaves and a slice of lemon into my water in the summer. It´s so refreshing.
