I still use a dishpan with a quarter sized dollop of soap in the pan. I only use my dishwasher for air drying dishes 😂

Kitchen is looking fab! Well done. My ta da list today: I was at work, on my way home: quick run to the store, came back around 2, made myself a nice lunch, watchend a little KZfaq video while having my coffee, worked in my totaly crazy garden, cleaned the kitchen and prepared my over night oats for breakfast and made dinner for myself all while watching your video, had dinner .. all is left for today: my workout and I need to wash my hair. I´m looking forward to bed time. 😅 Hugs!

I always keep stuff for breakfast type dinners when funds are low. Who doesn’t love pancakes and bacon or sausage patties and eggs. Or, eggs and biscuits with sausage gravy. Btw, I keep these items on hand. I don’t go out and buy them when I don’t have the money. I also keep fish in the freezer. We will have fish, wild rice (also kept on hand) and salad. I’ve found keeping certain items on hand helps keep my grocery budget down cuz I only have to fill in the holes.

I put my tupperware in a small basket or bin. Then it slides in and out of the cabinet easily without the lids falling out.

Why do you leave the water running? So much water wasted. You encouraged me to clean my microwave both inside and outside. Also, cleaning the dust off the kitchen vent, the light over our dining room table and some kitchen cabinets. Thanks for your words about going at your pace. So true. Love the cat jumping onto the counter, onto the microwave and then up on the refrigerator. Then shortly afterwards the cat jumping back down onto the microwave. 😅❤

One thing to understand is that my water comes from an underground spring. It doesn’t run out and it doesn’t take water from anyone else. I am glad you were encouraged! 😃

We live in a city and pay for all the water we use. We try to conserve water to save money. Glad you don’t have to worry about that.

Thank You Mainer Mom in 80’s imagine watching another mom in the Kitchen washing her dishes I like this topic you are talking about ( it helps you to feel like you are not the only one in the world my outlet in the 80’s was talking all morning with my friend while the kids tore up the house this friend of my could really talk and make me laugh 🤣 ) Now I enjoy watching you Karen I still can not imagine watching another mom in here home during her housework I like the topic of meal planning making do with what you have I like channel old recipes of 30’40’s 50’ 60’s

I have 2 sinks. I use the smaller size to plug and wash the dishes. The other side I use to rinse. I put the dishes on the top rack of the dishwasher to drip. I dry them by hand and wipe the water on the door with the drying towel. I am a list person. ❤

When I was a kid we filled the sink but after i moved to Spain everyone washed dishes individually and I’ve done it like that ever since. There was cabinet above the sink with drying racks so dishes air dry. Way better than drying them with a dish towel

My cat "helped" me fold my shopping bags by hiding out in the one I use to corral them. She's also been "helping" me iron today by laying on the ironing board. 😁

I enjoy chatting as I can work alongside you but still follow what you are doing. During my domestic science lessons (cooking) we were taught the order for washing the dishes - glassware, cups, cutlery, plates, serving ware and finally pans ie cleanest to grossest and this reduces the debris in the washing up bowl. In the UK we have always used a full bowl of water, not a running tap for dishes. I think it's a throwback to when you had to heat water on the stove in the days before piped hot water.

I unconsciously use this order for washing dishes, and my boyfriend thinks I'm a bit crazy for doing it. Lol However, he hates doing the cups and the silverware due to the size and relation to mouths, but to each their own.

Hey Karen, If you plant that green onion in a little bit of soil and leave it there, it will retain nutrients. The plant will regrow in water, however the root will eventually become not nutritionally dense due to water growing.

I like mixing instrumental music when you aren't chatty with you being chatty. If you have a conversation thought, please share all of the beans! But if it isnt much, rhen just watching you with the instrumental nusic is peaceful.

I love how it was a really chatty video today and I enjoyed folding my laundry whilst watching. You got a lot cleaned in your kitchen. It was nice that you had time to clean your floors too. My Ta Da list today was cleaning the bathroom, doing one load of laundry, finishing the book I was reading and cooking a chicken spinach curry for dinner. I had to rest all afternoon and evening because my CFS is bad at the moment. It has been really hot in London and we don’t have ac units, only fans to keep us cool. Anyway, it was sweet watching Leo because he always make me smile.

Hey Karen, it does not remove the stainless, for the power paste. It just removes the oxidation that forms on it. so you are good to go.

Did you shake the pledge? If not, the wax may be clogging the nozzle. I grew up with pledge also. As the youngest, I was the one to do all the table legs. 😢

Karen, are you going to just spray paint the pine cones? Like with a dusting of white and/or silver? I like that idea. It seems to me you mentioned people either bleaching or painting them.

I understand how you feel about your knee because I have a bad knee & bad shoulder on the right side of my body. But, my knee & shoulder doctor thinks it's either because of my Generalized Seizures (Epilepsy) or a very good possibility of EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). Which, is a Chronic Genetic Disorder, that makes your body detearate very rapidly or very slowly depending on the person. Also, it starts to show more towards adolescent age of life. So, I get lots of aches and pains because, ligaments, and tendons of my joints would kink up. Which, is a symptom of EDS!!!! 😭😭😭😭

well, I dont have a full size sink. everything is washed in bathroom sink. so i stack smallest to largest, put a squirt of dish soap, fill with scalding hot till just covers top dish. let set till it cools off. then drain, scrub each with wet sponge. rinse. in total about 20 minutes. P.S. i let air dry unless i need right now.

Why don't you use a wash cloth in the kitchen instead of going through so many paper towels? I wipe down our kitchen counters, stove, and kitchen table with a wash cloth that I can rinse out and put soap on it if I need to.
