MasterChef Canada S04 E02 Full Episode: The mystery box contained a specific piece of kitchen equipment from the cooks' own homes. Aaron, Miranda and Trevor made the three best dishes, and Trevor won the challenge despite accidentally shattering his oven door near the end of the cook, with Alice letting him use her oven.Subscribe: / masterchefworld
With immunity from elimination, Trevor was given the choice of three types of fruits for the other cooks to work with; he picked the stone fruits, and was also able to save either all the men or women from elimination, choosing to save all the men. Trevor was also tasked with assigning the remaining cooks either a sweet (Alisha, Justine, Thea) or savoury (Alice, Kimberly, Mai, Miranda) dish; Alice was upset with being assigned savoury after helping Trevor during the mystery box challenge. Justine and Miranda made the two best dishes and were announced as team captains for the first team challenge of the season. The worst three dishes belonged to Mai, Thea and Alice, and the judges eliminated Alice.

This episode has my favorite quote in it from Claudio and Alvin. Claudio says "I don't think Mai is going to make it." Then immediately Alvin says, "I don't think Mai is going to make it, Claudio" Then Claudio says, "Didn't I just say that?" lol I seriously loved that. It happens at 29:03.

I'm pretty sure Alvin is Chinese, while Mai and the extract she explained are Vietnamese. Being from the same continent doesn't mean they know about all the ins and outs of every cuisine. Furthermore, Alvin asked her about it. 😂

It's clear that justine either felt surprised or bitter, but to be fair a lot of the editing in the transitions of this show is meant to create drama where drama doesn't exist, if you look closely in previous seasons they've done it a handful of times because the show thinks that drama = more views

I think Trevor didn't mean to mess up with Alice like that. He give Alice savory dish because he think that maybe the easiest dish to do with stone fruit. His doesn't know what Alice good at. That's why he feel sorry when he saw Alice struggling down there.

@@daisyme7761 Yes, but it's still a competition. He stated that in his opinion women were better (and therefore a greater threat to him). So his choice is logical. If he had to save only one person, maybe he would choose Alice. But here it is not worth saving (for example) 3 potential threats to repay 1 person. It sad, but I can understand 🤷🏻‍♀️
