Welcome to our series of vlogs where we will be renovating our early 1960's converted bungalow in the beautiful Kent countryside. This renovation will involve a lot of #DIY as we do like to get stuck in however we are not professionals in any way so these are not tutorials 😂. From experience renovating previous properties we know that we learn from our mistakes and pick up new tips, tricks and skills along the way. This is not going to be a quick turn around, we'll be doing this over the course of the next few years so thank you for coming along for the journey, hopefully we'll still have all our limbs, fingers and toes intact by the end of it 🤞🏼

Happy birthday Emma 🎂 🥳 🎉 Yes those are fake accounts, lots of them I see on different YT channels There is lots of cybercriminality going on lately, specially since covid it has become so bad. I recommend (when they try to grab your money) to take screenshots and go to local police office to report it. That's what i do My hubby says it doesn't matter but , if I do it & a few others then they have more evidence to take those down

Your home is to die for Emma, you must be so proud of what you and Simon have achieved. So reassuring to see that even you have a junk room 😅 Incidentally, as it currently is, it would make a brilliant room for your voiceovers. All the furnishings absorb the sound and you could really hear the difference when you walked in there. Hope you're back to full health soon xx

In the utility room I would tile the wall where you hang your coats. I did it in our cottage and it is such a lifesaver when you hang your wet coats

I actually like the rug that you have under the dining table. The color blends well with everything else and the pattern is a nice contrast to the solid colors in the remainder of the area.

It looks absolutely beautiful. We all have a dumping room! I had to laugh at the doggos spread out and taking up the entire sofa, lol! The thing about your renovation is that it feels so intentional. It feels like you know what you want to use it for (or what makes sense both for yourselves and if you want to sell in the future). And I love your home, it's just so calm and light and beautiful. Even the things I'd do differently to my own personal needs, it just looks really really beautiful, well utilized and like a loved and cared for home.

Stunning Emma, I love how fluid your renovation is throughout every room you’ve transformed. It all merges so well and is homey, yet minimalist, neutral, earthy, sleek and stylish. You have such an eye for design, well done! Could you do a video where you talk us through your process when starting from scratch? What do you do? Make a mood board of the colours and items you’d like and build from there with the layout and budget in mind? I’m sure there’s much more to it than that so would love to see how you get from A to B and your vision comes to life! 👏

Sorry you have been unwell and thank you for filming despite getting breathless. You have such a lovely home with the perfect balance between it being not too cluttered yet not too stark. It looks such a relaxing house; I can see the B's appreciate it too. Pets certainly teach you how to relax and just do nothing for a while. Your home is the most soothing eye candy ever. And you’re human, because of that upstairs catch all room. I have one too. It’s my den. The door doesn’t get opened unless another project piece is tossed in there😂…I mean, I have a fireplace insert in the middle of it🤦‍♀️….one day we will both be done and then we will be so bored trying to figure out a new project to undertake! Maybe😉

Your home is a cool and calm haven. I just love those windows that open on such an angle that you can leave them open even in the rain. The fact that they're all black and match all the metal structures around the house is so chic and clean. The kitchen is so cozy and liveable. And the "children" lying around on the couch make it extra snugable. ❤
