Have you tried any of them? No, I don't think so. So how can you say which is best? Just reading from the marketing material says nothing about how they work in the real world.

People say these wind turbines don't come with enough wiring to go from say top of a house or pole to go into the charge controller. They also say the wiring is like a 3 wire set and it doesn't look like the 2 wire black and red set that solar setups normally use. (Maybe that depends on if its set up as AC or a DC wind turbine though...) So what kind of wiring are you supposed to get for this part to connect from the wind turbine to the charge controller? And what are you suppose to look for? Thank you.

@@sambob8019 Cuz it's not a real issue. Wind turbines kill orders of magnitude fewer birds than cars or glass windows every year. But no one is talking about stopping production of those because of bird strikes. Birds really don't get hit or killed by turbines in significant numbers. It's a (not even) funny meme, and that's about it lol.

@@gilbertgutierrez7171 - Agreed wholeheartedly! Such a setup would be the ideal marriage of renewables, since winds generally blow harder and more consistently in Winter, while solar installations generally get vastly more sun in summertime. So the two systems complement each other.

@Ranger-sl5sq 2 жыл бұрын
You always rely on batteries if you need ongoing steady power. Both solar and wind can be used in parallel to recharge batteries and minimize the risk of flat batteries. If you don't consider batteries then your focus is about saving money on energy bills rather than living off grid reliably.

@@Ranger-sl5sq how did that work out in texas
@Ranger-sl5sq
@Ranger-sl5sq 2 жыл бұрын
@@samusvi2693 Well most didn't have sustainable off grid setups (ie. alot of batteries and backup generators with stored fuel etc.) so it didn't go well for most. Hence my point you can't just rely on wind or solar. I've also thought a stationary generator pushbike would also be a good option instead of storing diesel fuel
@Cyrribrae
@Cyrribrae Жыл бұрын
@@samusvi2693 Heh. Worth noting that Texas just didn't take care to ruggedize their equipment. They blamed it on wind (which was a small portion of their energy generation), but even their gas plants went offline. They just didn't do the work or provide the backups they needed. Besides, most backyard solar people aren't completely disconnected from the grid. They pull (and maybe push) energy as needed.

I like the skybrator... Which generates power by rocking back and forth... Several ways you could do it effectively... But the best method is to trap wind... For push.. To generate electricity... And release wind... To snap back.. And generate more electricity... It is definitely quieter than traditional wind turbines.... Although I take issue with the aerodynamic design... Aerodynamic equals less vibration... If your looking to vibrate... You want to trap and release... Personally I think the design of a sea conch might work... It traps the wind.. Which results in impact... Push.. and funnels it through the design... Which could allow you to generate even more electricity.. And then releases the wind the other side after spiralling through... Which gives you your snap back vibration... Another idea that might work is a cylindrical design with lots of small squares... The squares are vibrating in light wind due to their small size... And may also turn the cylinder in strong winds...
