"Must see" for first timers! Larry, this is literally an "all time favorite" of mine. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it. Of course I've watched countless other people's videos about All-Grain Brewing. But you explain everything so well, the whole series is really a "must see" for first-timers. And I'm thrilled to say: I finally got my ingredients to make my FIRST BREW! Thanks again for all your videos!

Brew day went well, first batch just ran out today, second batch will be ready in another week, so I'm brewing again tomorrow. A 5 gal batch only lasts me and my wife, a week, so I'll need to either step up to 10 gal batches or I need to brew once a week. (drinking less beer is NOT an option!). Larry, thank you so much for all your videos and your generous info!

Larry, I thought it was interesting when you added the rest of your sparge water you disturbed the previously set grain bed. A lot of videos don't do this, but it would seem by doing this you get a better rinse of the grain by letting it mix and settle again. Interesting and simple video thanks for posting it.

Great video. Air in the wort doesn't make a difference though. You have it sitting in a kettle (exposed to air), boiling (which removes oxygen from the solution), and then you have to aerate it before pitching yeast ( so the yeast have a good environment to multiply in before fermentation). The only time aeration or mixing with air will affect the beer is when fermentation has begun and any time after that. Other than that, this video was very good and bang on for most of the information.

Yo Larry I thought my yeast died but according to my SG they are still alive even though there is no bubbling in the air lock. I started out at 1.050 and I got an SG today of 1.030 so evidently I didn't kill them. I was amazed when I took the SG it smelled and tasted like flat beer. I was so blown away. I was afraid it would taste terrible. Tastes like beer! Imagine that! Thanks again Larry! I would have never tried this without seeing your video.

20 years ago I did a few "kit n kilo" brews... comercial home brewing was young. I've just done another and started looking into brewing at home again... a lot has changed.. lots of talk about grain brewing but everyone uses terms i have no idea about what is going on... your video(s (i just watched you keg this one)) have explained the process and different terms procedures and process flow in such an excellent manner. You obviously know your stuff, i thank you and commend you for making it understandable to people who don't know what is going on. Great video's! First beers will be enjoyed over some home made pizzas. Still got another week in the fermenter!

The best video i ever seen, showing how to brew beer at home.Im from Sweden and i havent seen any good video on Swedish. The thing is that you really explains every detail in home brewing which i really like.i also now know how important every detail is when you brew, like time and temperaturs and what every Equipment is for.i have only brew one time so im a beginner at this and im grateful for every video there is.My first beer was light lager and when the time came to drink it,it tasted really sweet and the carbonation in it was a little sticky and also had some light taste of yeast. So i have appertly done something wrong.I didnt take any og or fg on it.I will look at more of your videos, sry for bad English

Larry, thanks for this video bro. I've been looking at doing 'actual' home brewing (I did half-assed facility brewing for a bit) for years now. I have watched so many videos and read so many articles and none of them ever said anything about the iodine test. And also no one ever said that the specific gravity test was an actual test of the efficiency of the brew batch process. I just always got the notion from all videos that it was a test to see if you hit the right alcohol mark you were looking for. Clearly not the case. Great video man. You got a subscriber today.
