This old rusty 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 was abandoned under a tree. I pulled it out and rebuilt it from bare metal with a Ferrari 360 V8 engine, power steering, and air conditioning. I built my dream restomod entirely by myself in my garage.

Look forward to watching more. Brilliant.

I bought a 1974 GTV in 1978 for under $4000 from an Alfa dealer in Belmar NJ. It was 90% perfect. White with black interior. It was my pride and joy. Unfortunately my Dad got very sick and I was forced to sell so I could help with their bills. I have photos and they both elate and sadden me. Your build is the most envious car I’ve seen in my 74 years on this earth! Congratulations---

Jeff I really don't have the words... It's absolutely incredible how you took this rust-pitted pile of metal, had a vision of what it could be and painstakingly made it happen. I've followed this build from the start. I remember you telling us "This will not be a quick build." You weren't lying! Lol. Even 680G was around when it started, and that was SOOOO long ago! I'm glad you are enjoying the "finished" product despite the few gremlins to figure out. Congrats, bro! This is one of the best builds I've followed on YT. Once of my motorcycles is a 90s Moto Guzzi that sat for 2 years in a dealership in Adelaide before I bought it. I made some mods and encountered some pushback from purists who told me it wasn’t what they would have done. My reply was that they had their chance to control the process by getting in first and buying it, and since they didn’t that perhaps they should shut the fark up. Critics are a dime a dozen. More power to Jeff, I say.

Wow, big call! I think purists love cars too, just in a different way. I personally love what Jeff has done with this particular car, given what it would have taken to restore it. However, I also love a pure Alfa or Ferrari. These 105’s in pure form are now attracting big money, but it takes as much to get them to that standard. Of course, money is only one consideration when restoring or modifying.

I've seen part of the journey as you documented every step of the way, but seeing this montage truly gives an idea of the massive achievement that is this build. Most impressive set of skills. What an artisan.

Mate at every step of the way, I was confident that you were going to outsource part of the build to a specialist… absolutely blown away by the breadth of your skills and the outcome of the build. Incredible stuff

I started watching late into the build and didn't go back to the start, nice to be able to see an abbreviated version of it

What an awesome job, bringing back this beauty to its former, now upgraded glory. Reminds me of my old 1972 2000 GT Veloce - which sadly was stolen and found burned out on a field 5 months later. ☮️❤️🚗

Hi Jeff, I probably haven't stopped by your channel in around 4 years, stopped watching just as you got the alfa build underway. Amazing work getting it finished! I still haven't finished my zed, and there was a time our zed builds were around the same stage of completion. Your upholstery skills have improved heaps, this interior looks amazing, much better finish compared to the original interior you did in the 911. Great to see you learnt to TIG weld too. Keep up the good work, watching your videos has motivated me to get back onto my own project!

Is there anything you can’t do? Stunning work. I worked in a Jag, MGB, Triumph, Alfa, Lancia dealership in the late 70s, and these were never finished this well.
