Been there, done that. A whole shitload of wood ribs. Built it before kits were everywhere. (1971-1974)

I don't think that's any less work than jigs and building wood ribs. We built a bi-plane with tube fuselage and covered, wood ribbed wings. It took three years instead of three months. No question about the 51% rule. It was 100%. Built in the early 70's and is still flying.

Thank you for the video, this is only way for me to have an airplane, but recently I discovered videos from Mike Arnold and Burt Rutan so I decided that composites are way to go :)

what sheet? i cant see what your holding. bed sheet, paper sheet, carbon fiber sheet? if you meant THAT ALUMINUM SHEET then it depends on thickness of it. i seen 2 different thickness aluminum sheets in the vid.

I admire what you guys are doing but why are you crimping the the right angles on the curves surely using a shrinker is much better. Good Luck Alan Brown
