6:27 I manage a grocery store. Yes, you can ripen them at home. The warmer your home or the grocery store, the quicker the avocados will ripen. At the store we keep them refrigerated until ready to place out on floor. Hope this answered his question in video. Im here because i never cared to eat avocados until my assistant made fajitas and used some. Now im a fan.

To release the pit from the knife I've always just tapped the knife, pit down, against the rim of my trash can. Pops right off.
