Austin put his whole heart and soul into this song, because Amberly, his lady-love, was right there next to the camera in the studio. Those burning looks were only for her. What beautiful daughter. You are so lucky.

Austin Killed this! The harmonies and beat boxing were par excellence. They did a cover of Ed Sheeran Talking out Loud/ Marvin Gay Let's Get It On. It is amazing. Love your daughter she is beautiful! Love your reaction! ♥

The man from Tifton, Georgia has some soul in there...he loves R&B and his version on his own channel he conquers Stevie Wonder, ...Signed, Sealed, Delivered....react to that one and tell me this man doesn't have soul

I live about 2 miles from where it was recorded! I have never even heard Michael Bolton sing it, there was no need. Percy was local, so we listened to him. I went to sleep at night listening to him when I was 10-11 years old. Austin does it justice, though!

This was one of their many “quarantine” productions. They had to come up with different ways of showing them all being on the screen, but not actually together. Hence, the guys in the TV screens. Enjoying your reactions!

Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Back in the 1940's 50's 60's and 70's music celebrated romance, true love and the joys of life. Women were revered as was the idea of finding your true love and getting married.

I am a 75 year old white guy. I was a teen in the 60s. From 1963 to 1973 was the best musical 10 years. The Beach Boys, Marvin Gay. Wilson Pickett, The Temptations. The Beatles, Sam and Dave, The Righteous Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, Del Shannon, Deon And the Belmonts and I could go on and on. All were pure talent with no auto tune or electronic enhancement. Everyone I mentioned is worth a listen. If you do you will be blessed as I was. Music has done downhill since.

Austin and Adam killed it. Again, during Covid so I thought the use of tvs was clever. 😃

The story behind the song. This was recorded during the Covid lockdown so all the guys in the background recorded it at their at-home studios. Austin was in a real studio with his then-girlfriend Amberly, now his wife and he was singing the song to her. Just look at the love in his eyes and the smile on his face. Then Darren the 6th member of Home Free edited and arranged the recording and did a wonderful job as always. They sure made sure we were entertained the whole time. That is one reason they are so loved by us Home Fries. Oh, one of the songs they made is so funny. It is called "Quarantine" and is about what we were all going through. If you don't want to post it, watch it and enjoy and try not to laugh too hard. PS: Your daughter is beautiful.

They absolutely do not make music like they did back in my teenage years in the 60s. Fortunately, groups like Home Free and Voiceplay and even the Bass Gang are bringing it back. You should take a look at some of Tim's doowop videos. He has an entire doowop album, which is fabulous. I suggest Come Go With Me or Will You Still Love Me/Stay. Personally, I've never really cared for this song. But the boys absolutely killed it. Great backing vocals, percussion perfection and Austin just flying off into the stratosphere.

I always loved the late, great Percy Sledge's original (not so much Michael Bolton's - I thought it rather over-wrought). This was filmed separately during the Covid lockdowns. Austin's (now) wife Amberly was in the studio & that's who he's looking at. IMHO, their rendition is on the same tier as Mr. Sledge's. Love from a Canadian subscriber.

Michael Bolton's cover was a poor copy of Percy's (I grew up w/Percy's) and nowhere near this one. It always sounded strained, forced. Austin just floats those notes out, dripping with feeling - even without the visuals here. To your point about music 'then' and 'now' - Tim did a bit in one of their shows that illustrated this point hilariously. Look for "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)". HF doesn't miss - even when it is a song that I do not like, I have to admit they do a fantastic job of it.
