I grow pumpkins mostly for my goats and pig pets as a treat through the cold months. I do bake some to save for winter baking, but when I gave the last pumpkin this month it was the longest into colder months I have had some to share ever. My husband actually built an autumn garden to grow even more in 2021.

Our go to winter squash is Golden Delicious, some call it Golden Hubbard. My Italian dad and the Italians where I live always refered to it as Golden Delicious. We give away about 50 per year. But, in 2021 I bought the seeds to plant Boston Yarrow which the Delicious is part of, the other half being Green Hubbard. I also bought Red Kuri seeds to plant. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I grow way more than we need. One year we had about 800 plants in our front yard. We kept 4 Delicious and gave away the rest to our neighbors and their families. It is so much fun to do that! I encourage all to do that. Take care, stay safe! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!

@@GrowfullywithJenna Will get back on the pumpkin bread recipe real soon. Getting late for me. Early to bed and early to rise and all that.... I've become quite the master of quick breads. My recipes are a little lengthy in that as a former chef, I like to teach the why as well as the how, plus this recipe has some tweaks from a standard recipe. You seem to teach gardening in a similar manner. I like it. Buttercups are great, prolific, with your soil they will go bonkers. Not stringy, great flavor, easy to deseed, good stuff.
