Homeless Dog Rescued Too Late... In Memory Of Toty | Howl Of A Dog

This sweet, loving dog spent all his life on the streets, 11 years, and when help finally arrived, it was almost too late. We featured Toty's story in a video published several months ago (you can watch it here: • Why Did It Take 11 Yea... ), at that time we were trying to find an adoptive family for him because we didn't want him to spend his remaining time in the shelter, we wanted to offer him everything he didn't have as a stray dog: a loving home, someone to be with him all the time so that he would never feel lonely again. We couldn't find an adoptive family, but we found a loving foster home in Germany.
We want to thank Tatjana for helping Toty find a foster home and for caring and always being there for him when he needed it most.
Thank you Ruth for helping Toty know the warmth and the comfort of a loving home.
And thank you so much to everyone who had donated towards Toty's care and helped us fill with love, smiles and kindness this last chapter from his journey.

BUT it was also sweet of that one worker who kept him fed for two years. I guess that person had no room at home for a pet or some other reason.

Late, but despite age and pain it was still probably still the best 6 months of his life and I'm happy he got it and thankful to the wonderful people who gave it to him. Such a lovely pup.

I am so sorry that this beautiful animal had to live his entire life in the street but the silver lining for Toti is that he knew love he knew kindness he knew belly rubs food and shelter medical care and he died around people who loved him and with dignity God bless all of you for helping all of the creatures and toady It is amazing at the rainbow bridge my dog's come back and tell me so run free be a piece it is and be loved❤❤❤💔🐶🙏🌈🕊

My dog,Bear, passed away 1 year ago yesterday ( the 31st). It destroyed me. His brother Tipper passed away Father’s Day of this year. I picked him up and held and cried for about a hour, but they knew they were loved. My best friends. I hope to see them again in heaven.

4000 assholes and only one person who had enough compassion, checks out in this shitty world. So glad Toty got at least a few months of love , but it's so, so sad that the rest of his life was so miserable. He deserved better for sure. Thank you for giving him a home and love in the end! i don't think you were too late. It was just unfortunate he spent 11 years in the streets.i think you were just in time to give him love, open up a world he's never known, for him. You were just in time to provide him with comfort and he held on long enough to meet the right people, and experience what he saw other dogs experiencing. thank you all for showing him that it is okay to let go and throughout those 6 months he shined the brightest. i would give anything for my dog to get to that age.

Made me really sad. Hope someone could have rescued him and given him a good life beyond living on the streets for 11 long years. But I believe his last days were comforting.

Considering he lived to be 11 he probably enjoyed life regardless where he was, people in the streets most likely fed him and pet him. He seemed cheerful to his last days even with cancer. Thank you for helping this old gentleman.

He was very kind and gentle, friendly with everyone, never getting into any troubles, the sweetest personality, very calm, and this helped him survive out on the streets for so many years. Yes, he was cheerful to his last days.

Nobody can change Toby’s past life or how he lived. Just always remember dogs live for the day and Toby had 6 months of days where he knew a loving home, where he was warm and slept on a comfortable bed. Good food and the love and attention of his foster family and all the vet care he needed. In those last months he couldn’t have wished for more. Thank you to Howl of a Dog for this precious rescue and to Toby’s wonderful foster family in Germany. RIP gentle Toby❤

These homeless dogs is a structural problem caused by an ineffective government. There are no homeless dogs in Sweden because of better laws. To all people working with "Howl Of A Dog" I say thank you for saving these dogs. ❤We need more people like you in this world. Rest in peace Toty :-(

One of the problems we have in Romania is that very few people adopt dogs. While the streets and shelters are full with rescue dogs needing a home, most people prefer to buy from breeders more or less "responsible". For Toty we couldn't even find a foster home here, he had to travel to Germany.

@@HowlOfADog It's sad, but I understand why people hesitate to get a rescue dog because they don't know if the dog is aggressive, sick, how old it is etc. These videos that you make help to minimize those hesitations. I hope that more people in the future will adopt rescue dogs.

I sure hope that humans are.learn old remedies that cure these issues for very little cost. I sure hope that he wasn't euthanized. I also hope, that even though being a stray is very tough, that everyone who met him was kind to him, and I hope they all had a better day because of him. I appreciate all who helped, and will continue to help.

This is a difficult video for me, having just this week lost a beautiful sweet boy. All I can tell myself, and all his previous owner can tell me, is he knew love for all the months he was with me. But I knew it was coming, and there was nothing I could do but buy him time in which to know that I loved him very much. I cannot do as much nor for as many, as I would choose. But for the small number I can help, I do all that I can.
