You need an address, a way to contact you, social security card, ID and the paper application no longer exists in most places so applications are done on-line. Throw in the lack of jobs hiring, minimum wage income and no healthcare because all low wage jobs do not offer insurance of any kind. This forces you to go to your EBT office and apply for food stamps but be prepared for a mountain of paperwork to fill out and long lines. Even after that, if you don't have children, the most you can get is 80.00 a month in which over half the applicants don't even get. Still can't rent an apartment because you don't make enough money to cover just the rent much less utilities so you remain on the street.

Very few people CHOOSE" to be homeless and you're ignorant to believe that all homeless people have drug problems. They are people just like you and me that fall in hard situations and struggle to get back on their feet. If this is the only video you can stomach and base your opinion on, I recommend you watch other videos, listen to the stories or if you're man enough, go to one of these areas with homeless people and sit down and talk to them. Maybe then, will you have a better sense of compassion towards people and might even feel inclined to help do something about it instead of criticism.
