I saw this comment, and it truly hit hard. I’m 24, and I already have to get 6 teeth pulled. Not from lack of taking care of them but from drug abuse in my late teens. I’m not trying to sound cocky with this, I am a very attractive man, and having my teeth rotted feels so awful. Along with constant infection, and not being able to get any pain meds. Understanding how important it is to have a beautiful smile means the world. Sucks too because people look down, and judge if they see missing teeth. Warms my heart knowing this man has his teeth back. Just kinda a message to the youth don’t do drugs, and take care of yourself because before you know it you will start to lose the things that make you, YOU.

I don't think his teeth were fixed. He got new teeth. Either implants(which is extremely expensive)or perhaps partial prosthetics. Still not cheap, but a whole lot cheaper than implants. I could be wrong though.

I've been homeless for a year and a half and this is so true. but there's another factor to being homeless & looking, as well as feeling dirty, and that's the shame... imagine what walking through a door to apply for a job feels Iike already, then add the fear of rejection knowing half the places you walk into just to use the bathroom or buy a drink kick you out or have security stalking you

@@moniquebush9317 see if there’s an affordable dentures near you. I got the extractions and the cheapest dentures and still it wasn’t cheap, BUT it was way cheaper than any other dentist I went to. If you don’t have that, try a dental school near you. They’re learning but supervision is done by a licensed dentist teacher. It’s slower but I have seen it help people I know. Just a couple things you might want to look into. I wish you all the best. I know how that is and missing teeth and abscesses etc are so painful! I hope you can find something to work for you. 💜

He was looking for a job to turn his life around. Most homeless people dont even want jobs. I remember seeing a video where someone was offering jobs to homeless people for decent pay, and the vast majority did not want to take the jobs, and would rather just beg.

They’re not. Some are just down on their luck, but the VAST majority are there due to addiction and won’t be able to fix their lives until they kick their substance addiction. This was demonstrated in 2008 when the US government started handing out housing loans to the homeless population trying to help get them off the street. The result? They couldn’t pay their loans or property taxes due to spending all their money on drugs still, and the houses ended up getting foreclosed and bought up by rich house-flippers thus making the rich richer once again and helping the homeless population out by exactly 0%. This video is a fantasy (and probably faked). You could literally GIVE a homeless man a free house, and most of them will still end up homeless again.

Getting out of the homeless hole is 100% doable for anybody who isn’t held back by drug addiction and nobody stays homeless for years on end from bad luck. The addiction is what keeps people homeless. So thus, the vast majority of homeless people are homeless due to addiction just like I said. I never said addiction was what got them there in the first place. Being homeless for a couple months is one thing, but the large majority of the homeless population remain homeless because they’re addicted to hard drugs. You can’t blame that on “bad luck”, and you can’t fix it by just giving them jobs or houses. Once they’re addicted, the drugs ARE their purpose/fulfillment.

@@TJOEL20 by bad luck I mean bad circumstances. Like I said, there are plenty of statistics and studies that say other circumstances lead to homelessness and drugs are used to cope and then leads to a vicious cycle. We agree that addiction needs to be addressed as part of a successful effort.

If you give someone some money, they’ll spend that money on whatever (food, clothes, possibly even drugs) and eventually they’ll run out and need more money.
