Give credit where it's actually due - scientists, medical professionals, academic researchers, engineers, teachers, tradespeople, and everyone else whose work makes life bearable for the rest of us... because without their knowledge and the technology they invent and use, "god's natural world" would be an absolute bloody nightmare to exist in. Life in nature is harsh, brutish, and short, and ever since hominins first evolved they've been busy inventing tools and other technologies all with the goal of making the human experience _less miserable._ I'm sorry, but we're on our own here. There's no hidden "god" out there helping us or coming to save us. Unless you count some future, super-intelligent AGI as a sort of god, which I actually would. Eventually, possibly soon, we'll reach a point where AI models display "IQ-equivalents" estimated to be in the tens of thousands, or even millions - imagine a cognitive engine smarter than all humans on earth, combined. To us, building a system like that would essentially be like manifesting an actual god, and honestly, that time can't come soon enough.
