Homemade ATV Tank Sprayer Boom

In this video, I make a boom for my ATV tank sprayer. This is what is known as a dry boom, where the liquid is routed in hoses along the boom rather than inside the boom.

For the boom material, I used 3/4" electrical conduit, along with a conduit clamp from a company called Maker Pipe, makerpipe.com/.
For the sprayer components, I ordered them from www.spraysmarter.com/
They have a long document about all the different types of sprayer nozzles and all the different types of application. Its probably a bit more than the occasional guy spraying at home needs, but its good info. I couldn't tell a difference between the two tips I ordered when just spraying water, but depending on what you are spraying it may make a difference.
Nozzle Bodies: Teejet 3/8" Quick TeeJet Nozzle Body Assembly, SKU 22251-311-375-NYB
Sprayer nozzles: TeeJet XRC Extended Range Flat Spray Tips, Color, Red
2nd Sprayer Nozzle: Teejet AIC Air Induction Flat Spray Tip & Cap, Color, Red
Nozzle body clamp: Teejet Vari-Spacing Clamp, 3/4"

I like your set up, I'm in the Highlands Scotland, and folk just don't do stuff like this on a small scale. So the solutions are very relevant to myself being a small woodland owner reforesting 70 acres with six others. I e converted an old ride on mower with chevron tyres ect, as a quad would likely get nicked if left in the woods. Your basic set up will be great for keeping the woodland road clear, and with a spot sprayer for getting in aboot the trees. Thanks for your time making this 👍

I don’t think a pressure gauge is necessary, but you could add one if you want to

what kind of pump do you have on the tank ??

Hi mica, the pump is a 7.8 gpm 60 psi pump. Is that what you were looking for?

@@northwoodsengineered I was hoping this would work with my current fimco sprayer but the pump is only 2.4 gpm 60 psi. Maybe it will still be enough. I'll have to try it out. I can't even find any pumps online that are 7.8 gpm.

@@manchus30 that pump should still work, the nozzles and check valves are based on pressure and 60 psi is still enough for them. it would just take a little longer to spray.
