Homemade Blackcurrant Cordial with Sugar Free option

In this video we are making SUGAR FREE Blackcurrant Cordial with Homegrown Blackcurrants from our young Food Forest, using a refined Sugar alternative in exactly the same way you can make the traditional recipe using Sugar... I actually made 2 batches one with normal Sugar and one with the alternative option.
You'll be able to follow along with the video and make this SIMPLE Cordial for yourself.

Interesting way . on the left over pulp . Why not first boil the black currants in water and first obtain the strained black current juice ?

After waiting for three years, my currant plants finally have fruit. My first attempt will be to make a jam, but having stumbled across your channel I might give Cordial a try. Have you ever made a jam out of the pulp? it seems like that is an option. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, thanks! Did you notice any difference in storage time between the two or didn't it last long enough?! Just wondering if using the coconut sugar meant it didn't preserve for as long?

Instead of individually collecting black currants….Bob flower dew recommends and I have to say I do this now…wait until the majority of the currants are black and cut off the whole branch just under the lowest bunch….and take to the kitchen to strip them…this means you have pruned for next year at the same time…works well..two jobs done.
