Who doesn’t like luncheon meat? I do. It’s my favorite but it can be unhealthy and hazardous to our health. Why? Because it’s loaded with preservatives, chemical additives, sodium, saturated fats and sodium nitrates that give the meat the color that seemed to look fresh. But don’t fret. I have here a homemade recipe of chicken luncheon meat that is healthy and delicious and you can eat as much as you like.
INGREDIENTS for the Recipe
500g chicken breast ( cut into cubes)
1/2-1 tsp himalayan rock salt
1/2-1 tsp mushroom granules ( can replace with msg )
1 tbsp full brown sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1-2 tsp red yeast rice sauce
2 tbsp oil
1 egg
1 tbsp shao xin wine
1 thsp sesame oil
1/2- 1 tsp 5-spice powder
4 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp all purpose flour
80 ml ginger water
All ingredients to be processed in the food processor until well combined and smooth. Transfer to greased or lined containers or pan and press to compact as much as possible. Cover with aluminum foil and steam for 35-40 mins or until cooked. When cooled cut into slices and pan fried for more aroma.
