Homemade Chicken Spread | Easy Chicken Pâté

A simple Chicken Spread (or Chicken Pâté) for any occasion. Fix a delicious sandwich for breakfast, lunch or a snack, and speaking of snacks, this spread can be layered onto a buttered toast, a cracker, a canape and topped with cheese, fresh/pickled veggies (peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, etc) to create some pretty appetizers (aka hors d'œuvres). Stuff a pita bread, a bagel... you can be innovative in your approach to this recipe!
Ingredients:
Oil for frying
18-20 Garlic cloves, crushed* (missed mentioning it in the video)
1 Large Onion, sliced
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
500 grams boneless Chicken
1/2 Cup Water
Black Pepper (as desired)
1-2 teaspoons Red Chili Flakes
2 Tablespoon Butter (Salted/Unsalted; accordingly adjust Salt whilst cooking)
This can be refrigerated in an airtight container for a period of 7 days. It can also be frozen for about 2 months; however it isn't something I'd recommend, simply because fresher is always better.

Cooking the chicken with onion and garlic makes more sense to me than boiling the chicken. It's the same method I use in making chicken liver pate. I'm doing this.👌

Made this chicken pate it turned out yummy. After putting it in the fridge because of butter it thickened. Had to keep it out for half hr before reusing it. Any suggestions for keeping it pasty so can be utilized immediately after taking it out from fridge

The age-old, daily question and trust me, Ignasia, it's still a question in my home! I'm happy these recipes are, at least in a little way, proving useful for the daily conundrum🤗💕 Edit: Ignasia, I remember you had asked me about how to use corned beef. Actually, I do something quite similar to this, only, without any cooking/vegetables. I simply grind the meat with a good amount of butter and apply it on a crisp toast or layer it between a sandwich. Since the meat it already processed/cured, it needs no cooking, and so it's quite a quick as well. I haven't been able to get my hands on a tin yet, so I thought I'd just write about it first, and make it when I have the opportunity.
