This is something new im paying attention to. I had no thought that cleaning the floors was harmful. Never again with the cleaner i use often. Yikes makes me feel so bad.

My poor Chi started coughing and I took her to the vet everything looked ok but he said must be the cleaning products, so I will try making this, thank you. Your decorations are very sweet!

Chihuahuas are also prone to collapsed trachea, but if your vet checked, I hope that they are doing better now that you've removed the chemicals from the home!

Needing to try non toxic cleaning products , I have a cat that had severe allergic reaction to a new cleaning product (floor cleaner)

I'm so sorry to hear that, but glad you know to look for natural alternatives now! I usually just clean my floor with water and white vinegar mixed

I use water and white vinegar on everything. Citrus is actually toxic to cats and dogs.

distilled water is best since it is more pure, so there won't be a residue. You could use other water, but it may leave behind anything that is in the water

essential oils is natural ecception of a healthier for pets but training on how to used them is require.Essentional Oils are known as a fragrance and it has heal animals from testimonies. Pets are much more sensitive so using it like if you were to use it on an infant.

Pets are more sensitive, which is why I only recommend veterinary grade essential oils. Also, Eos and "fragrance" are two very different things

Many essential oils are simply fragrance, made with toxic ingredients, and can be very harmful to pets, especially pet birds. When I got a rescue bird one of the rules the rescue had before they would allow me to bring the bird into my home is to remove all essential oils and other such fragrance oils from my home as pet birds respiratory systems are too sensitive for these toxic substances. Also, just because something is supposedly made from “natural” ingredients it does not automatically make it healthy or good for you. In fact many substances that are natural are quite toxic. Not that all so-called essential oils are natural, as Pet Parenting said, there’s a difference between Eos and fragrance essential oils.
