I proudly want to present you my plasma router.
Sorry peolpe but I don´t provide the blueprints. - I`m sorry.
The router is belt driven by this Stepper Motors:
5,0A Bipolar - 3NM for the X-Axis
6,0A Bipolar - 4,5NM for the Y-Axis
4,0A Bipolar - 1,9NM for the Z-Axis
The controller is a Triple BEAST from Benezan electronics.
Workspace is ~1100mm x 1100mm
I´m using the Hypertherm Powermax 900
It´s not a THC system!
The fluid in the System is car radiator coolant.
The machine is still running. I´m using ist mainly to cut "Firebuckets"

Nicely done! You've thought of solutions to all common annoyances with these machines. I really like the refillable tank! It has the added benefit of allowing you to clean it out regularly, too.

I've a touch plate on my CNC mill which is straight forward. This seems run a similar macro each time the z-axis lowers. Post G-code processing required to add this macro? On long cuts its not going to touch off so will crash if the metal warps?

Hi, I know this is an old video and you have answered many questions, so forgive me for asking just a couple more. It appears that that the gantry is only driven on one side and that it is triangulated to avoid deflection, it is an elegant approach. Did it cause any issues? Also, were the supported 20mm rails an issue in terms of keeping them clean and rolling smoothly? Would you do anything differently if you built it now? Thanks

I can understand your disappointment but I think exactly the opposite.. and that's a compliment for this awesome machine. Everyone can theoretically make everything (whatever you call your home) but it takes patience, knowledge and a strong will. I like people pushing their limits, learning how to built their dreams even if it's hard and they allways succeed at last. You won't if you keep on looking it your way, sorry for saying.

What size is the round bar linear bearing? 20mm? What size is the linear bearing on the gantry? Do you use this machine professionally? Btw nice lathe in background. Do you also have a mill?

The laser "cross hairs" is a magnificent idea. All my machines will have those from now on. Nice machine! I'm not hearing or seeing any backlash or slop. Very fast. Awesome! I'm sometimes jealous of people that don't have to worry about torque on the cutterhead. :)
