Whea whole re I an from in NC we always Where I from in NC they always cooked them whole. Then put a whole one on a biscuit to eat them. Yum! I am diabetic now and can't eat them with all the. Sugar.

Love watching the video of your Daddy making fig preserves. He learned a lot from watching his Ma and Pa over the years. It's made him the smart man he is today. And I'm sure you're learning some good things too Marshall. It's nice to have good teachers. Love seeing your Momma there too! 🤗

Good job daddy! I enjoyed watching you can these figs....I have never canned. I wish I knew how. Mama Joyce, bless your heart! Thats awesome yall been together that long. Very proud for you both! Thank you Marshall for recording them. Please keep up updated on how mama Joyce is doing. We sure miss her and we are still praying for her....I know this video was made long before Mama Joyces blood clot but just hope she's better soon and can get back to her cooking again. Hi Dad hope you don't mind me calling your dad but I sure do love your wife Mama Joyce she is so beautiful inside and out and your son is just as awesome as can be I've gotten where I really love him too I love you and your family there your little doggie your figs look really good I've never had a fake before so very pretty awesome well wanted to say hi I'm Joanne I'm going to go back and watch some videos find Mama Joyce there and your precious son going to go find his videos where he's singing in the coffee shop and that church he's gotten pretty close to my heart to and I just love you all and I'm going to keep watching everyday every night okay it's Saturday night now going on 10 p.m. so I'm going to watch some more videos and I'm watching The Voice in between watching you and Mama Joyce love you guys talk to you soon Joann

I miss my fig preserves. My aunt in Florida used to make it & always sent me a jar! I always ate it on my pancakes!!! Loved it also much!!!

I love how you sterilize the jars. That is a great tip. No boiling water, draining and getting burned. You have inspired me to make jelly again. Do you have your own garden and fruit trees? The vegetables and fruit always look so fresh.

Interesting watching, Ive never seen a 3 cup measure before, keep that thing! My neighbor has blessed me with all the figs I want and I’m easy to preserve them. QUESTION, how did you know the figs were ready when cooked less than 1 hour 45 minutes?
