После сварки нужен термический отпуск. И только после термической обработки нужно делать мехобработку. Иначе внутренние напряжения при работе двигателя и нагреве все поведут.

This is working really well, that NGV made a difference. please don't allow anyone to stand in line of the rotational axis of the turbine wheel when it's running, when they let go the parts fly out sideways especially with no nozzle on. I've seen it/had it happen a few times

Hi, I know the hazard areas around jet engines. So far all went well and the max rpm (70 000) is far away. Do you own some jet engines from Phill, or did you record the videos during a testrun? I like the axial comp sound👍👍👍 At the moment I am building a bigger housing and diffuser section. Still looking for thrust😁 Andy

@@Praendy Hi Andy, the axial engine and the Barjay replica are Phills although I do have a couple of his engines which are smaller. I used to help Phill at this workshop when he was making the Wasp engines and others and sometime about 6 years ago we met up so I could film the axial and Barjay replica. Look forward to seeing more runs and improvements Paul

Just a little PSA, if the turbine or a compressor stage explodes, it will send a lot of very fast shrapnel in all directions perpendicular to the main axis. Please don't have people sitting in the death zone.

Seems like it runs pretty good once started. Might need to figure a way to keep it spinning on cool-down so you don't get any warping or other similar issues. My limited understanding is stopping a jet turbine while it's still hot may lead to bad news regarding its maintenance. And is the scraping at the end on the outer periphery or is it the bearings?
@Praendy
@Praendy Жыл бұрын
Hi, the ngv is not the problem. I figured out the engine housing, where the ngv is screwed in, is a bit warped. At the moment I build a new "bigger" housing and the problem will be solved. Usualy I use a 90mm electric impeller in front of the air intake to cool down the engine. Thank you😉 Andy

LOOL I use the EXACT same electric lighter for the ignition on my home turbine build. Im going to wire it into the combustor liner, to keep me as far from the monster i created as possible, however the voltage drops the longer you make the wires. I had a thought of stripping the rubber off the wire ends, & inserting them into thin glass capillary tubing for higher temp electrical insulation. you're an inspiration.

On startup the flame was ignited around 8 o'clock, I noticed flame exhausted around 3-430 o'clock on warm-up. Is this because there's a localised flame front for each combustion cycle as it warms? Do you have internal ignition? Or once running it's in auto-ignition from previous combustion?
@Praendy
@Praendy Жыл бұрын
Hi, There is a lighter in my hand to ignite the fuel. Once ignited there is a steady combustion like a gas torch. During spoolup the fuel is on the lowest point and because of the direction of rotation the flame appears 4-5 o clock, until the idle speed and the pressure inside the engine has stabilized. Andy

So i am a bit of a curious man, and i wonder if one could have the fins mounted from a rail on the housing that spins inward with no central shaft or secondary purpose for a shaft such as to move the air around it in a configuration to cause the bottle neck at a rocket expansion cone just after the fuel is mixed, so that when the air fuel mixture exits the choke point the compression of the air is great enough for it to combust the fuel in the cone for maximum thrust... secondary air stream around the outer circumference of the rocket cone to create force vectoring?

Hydro turbines introduced so funny names, but I understand that axial compressor blades mostly lie in a plane ( small angle ) to press into the chamber. Turbine blades on the other hand are "vertical" at angle 90° for maximum torque. So I understood that the exhaust velocity is far above the velocity of the blades? So it seems like that we could just place counter rotating n1, n2, and n3 ( co to n1 ) turbines in series. With guide vanes before and after this stack.

I know of several companies that make small jet engines in Europe. Could you possibly buy fuel pumps for jet engines with a thrust of 100 kg or more? For example the fuel pump of jet cat p1000 or pbs tj 100 and tj150. I'm looking for a fuel pump with 3lpm performance at 6bar. They don't answer my emails. can you do my favor? If I can't buy a pump, I'll have to make the pump myself. Pump development is difficult because there is no company that makes a small amount of small gears or the like.
