Awesome tip about vacuum sealing the washing soda. Mine always gets hard but I LOVE using it with my hard water.

I have been wanting to make my own soap and I know that I want to follow your recipe. I will wait to see the Coconut oil soap and laundry butter too. Sooooo excited.

I like making my own. I tried Fels Naptha & Zote....but I'm both sensitive to the scent of both & don't care for the scent of either. I use other soap. It's fun experimenting w/various soaps.

Could you show us how you make your coconut oil soap. My grandmother made her own soap for the landury, but I know that it wasn't with coconut oil. Would be interested in the landury butter also. Sounds very interesting. So, thank-you for sharing this with us all.
