Good idea. I made an adapter starting with a small diesel flex plate that goes in the rim clamp jaws, then a welded extension up to a round plate that has slots for even lug rims, and a 70 deg. slot for 5 hole. You have to bolt the wheel down with two bolts, but then I can usually use the duck bill and the machines rotation.

I like it. My idea is to mount my small harbor freight tire changer to a big rim and do the same thing

@@thetinkeringold-timer6934 well I put it together and it doesn’t work. Like your first problem it will not hold tight . But it does put everything at a good height so doing them by hand isn’t to bad .

@@thetinkeringold-timer6934 I might eventually buy some left handed thread rod. I think if I use some of the parts off of the harbor freight small tire changer and the idea like you came up with it will work

@@joew5862 You're right about the height and as you said even manually it's better than trying to wrestle with them on the ground. I hope you get it working. It's nice to be able to deal with those pesky small tires when needed.
