Your timing is fine. I understand the desire people may have to watch curriculum videos before they purchase them for the following year, but honestly, it makes so much more sense to make a curriculum video *after* it has been used a little while, discussing the reality of it vs the expectations of it. I can get high expectations from the curriculum's own promotional materials. I want to know how people feel about it on the blah days, lol.

The apologetics curriculum sounds so good. I definitely need it. I would love to see a flip through of that one!! I’ve been considering adding Fix it Grammar for my 3rd grade daughter as well. @@PursuingPeace we are looking at possibly buckeye. We have family in Scottsdale as well as California so we want to stay on the western side of the state if possible. But we plan on renting at first until we find the perfect area we like. We are coming from the PNW so I am hoping to find some greenery if possible lol

Hi Angela! I don't do anything extra. I don't know if it's enough, but I haven't found anything I like. I'm hoping the new editions are better in the spelling department. 😉

We transitioned from TGATB to Memoria Press and I’m very happy with their spelling. From 1-3 they have their own spelling and then they move to another program; but I’ve heard a lot of folks love that spelling too.

Omgosh!!!! I’m from AZ!! Moved to PA 4 months ago and my daughter and I JUST started CC here! Our first community day was this past Friday!! AND we are using the good and the beautiful level K!! Lol Though PA is green and beautiful, I do miss AZ sunsets!! It is so beautiful there too!! I just found your channel!! So cool! God bless!

All kinds of picture books! We just read through a Harry the Dirty Dog treasury book. Honestly....any picture book is wonderful at this age. :)

I love your videos and how your family homeschools. What do you do for teaching the Bible ? I have bought some devotionals and I have a completely illustrated Bible. But I want a simple curriculum with a simple lesson a day and that is not boring and applicable to life. I saw Master Books How Faith Grows and it looks good. I am curious to see what you use

It’s almost October for me.. my son is 3 and turns 4 in October! Is it to late to purchase the preschool book from the good and the beautiful and start it with him? I’ll want to do kindergarten with him next year! Homeschool

Yes. My kids were small at that point so we only schooled for about an hour or so. But my break came when I went to small groups at church. Do you have a church?

I’m a first time mama with kindergarten our child was a bit behind with alphabet and stuff like that from not doing k4 so I’m not sure like what he’s suppose to be doing or how long he’s suppose to be doing school for… we are a low income family with not the money to get all these fancy material I’m literally using dollar store material is that okay? Girl! Did you sign up for the ESA voucher? I was skeptical but...at least for now there are no strings attached (no testing, no evaluations, and you can buy Christian curriculum). If any of that changes I will probably opt out. But for now it sounds good 🎉

You’re still doing Classical Conversations, correct? I have the curriculum for our 1st grader but am so lost! We had a more traditional homeschool kindergarten with a separate workbook for each subject, but I just don’t grasp the CC concept and never feel like I’ve done “enough.” Do you have a video of a a first grade school day with CC? We’ve missed the 1st 2 weeks of community due to a family emergency with my Mom, and I’m intimidated now to even go because I feel like I am not confident with this at all.

Hi Anne! Yes we are! Oh I'm so sorry you're feeling overwhelmed. I totally get it! Have you checked out the Sandbox Ezine on CC Connected?? It gives you a better idea of how to teach this through out the week. But right now....I would only focus on doing the memory work and reading books around the subjects. That's really all you need at this level. Check out our Morning Basket video....I go through and show how we do memory work on a daily basis. I’m so appalled by what public school has become, and the Lord just spoke in my spirit to homeschool; He gave me a great conviction about it. I’m hoping we can make up for these 2 weeks quickly. @@annemurphy9339 Hi Anne! My husband’s grandmother did the same for him. She adopted him at 2 years old and now over three decades later he’s mindful of staying close to her. Our four young children love their Nana incredibly and visit her often. I commend you for taking on such a worthwhile mission as raising your granddaughter. I pray the Lord gives you wisdom and comfort knowing that He’s with you every step of the way. You are blessed exponentially!
