I was a teacher for 10 years. There are some REALLY weird kids in public school. I reject people saying that homeschoolers are weird. 😂

Socialization is always brought to question. My daughter socialized with all ages, all kinds of different people from very different walks of life. In school, it's only with people their own age. How is that considered superior socialization? I homeschooled my kid and am SO glad she's not like them.

Love everything you said!!! I have a hard time with socialization because we are so far away from all our family and I struggle with social anxiety. This year's homeschool goal of mine as the teacher was to get my kids outside more and get them In more activities. This is the last week of school for us and I'm so proud of myself that I accomplished this goal! We have made some friends but I'm still a work in progress! As Christians I know we need to be around people a lot more than we are. That's what it's all about.

Good for you!! That's amazing! I understand - getting out there can be hard! Being a part of a church is a great way for them to make friends too! Do y'all have American Heritage Girls or Trail Life in your area (they're similar to Girl/Boy Scouts)? We just started AHG and I think that's going to be a great way for my daughter to make good friends!
