Glad you found a solution. We school in our dining room as well. I have a IKEA Kallax book case along one wall that holds almost every thing. We use the bin system too. Each kid has a bin and each group subject has a bin. I love how the kids can take their bin to any part of the house and work on their individual curriculum.

Love those containers. When my husband started working from home he needed the office back, and we downsized our homeschool to a ikea cabinet and those bins, and we work at the table. Loving your new setup. Great ideas!

It’s amazing how we can “downsize” our spaces! I recently moved all of our homeschooling stuff into our large entertainment center to make room for our Christmas tree and decorations and wow, I am so in love with the new setup! We do school in our tv room anyway since we do video streaming for school so it makes perfect sense to store everything in that room. It is much more hidden than it was and much more easily accessible. Let’s just say that it will be staying this way long after the Christmas decor is gone! Live and learn! Enjoy your new space! You’re very creative!

This is such perfect timing! We are doing the exact same as you and your husband, downsizing short term for large financial gain and security. I’m going from 4500sq ft to 870sq ft! Huge change for our family of 5! While you are in a smaller space, I’d love to see a video on things you have found about smaller living.. such as if you find it less stressful? Less cleaning? I’m afraid I’ll like smaller living too much and not want to move 😂

There are 4 of us in almost 1000 sq ft with very little built in storage, including closets. You do have to get creative! I love those bins you found. I need to go to Michaels!

We are in a small apartment. We could do a whole room since we don’t use our bedroom, our stuff is in the living room. My daughter would go nuts cooped up in a room. Downside is stuff is scattered. We tried to do minimal furniture since eventually we will buy a house, but I like the little cabinet in the thumbnail. I may need to get one lol My daughter got that pencil sharpener from my Dad AKA Santa for Christmas a couple years ago. It’s amazing ❤️

You are so organized! I have been watching a ton of your videos today. This question is a bit off topic but I wanted to ask it on the most recent video you have posted in hopes you would see it better than an older post. I don't know how all that works. Just wondering now that you have been using TGTB for even longer...are you still enjoying it? I love seeing how you use it since it is what I am currently using during our first year homeschooling. I love the material but I feel like there is a lack of something. I feel like I am flipping forwards and backwards in the book from spelling lists, to sight word ladders, and to stories I need to go back and check off...just that sort of thing. I am considering another curriculum you are VERY familiar with but the cost is extremely high. I wonder if any or all these issues I might be having with TGTB level 1 is just due to how I am using it. It truly is Beautiful!

Any small space is big to me. I homeschool three kids and we live in a bunk house travel trailer since 2016 and for the next couple years.
