How do I handle homeschooling over the Christmas season? In the past, we’ve taken the entire month off and just focused on festive fun. But this year, we’re going to be taking a little bit of a mixed approach, doing fewer workbooks than normal, but still keeping some structure and routine.
But of course, I’ll be adding lots of Christmas-based activities and fun. So here’s exactly what we will be doing as we homeschool over the holidays.

I just found your channel. I’m loving everything so far, honestly. I got my berry tea and watching. My boys are 11 and almost 9. I always feel like I’m not doing enough with their homeschooling. My oldest does his online and my youngest does more work books. My youngest can only do 4 pages before his adhd starts acting up and it’s over.

A lot of parents feel like they aren't doing enough. Don't worry. If your youngest has adhd, you might need to break it up. Maybe half in the morning or afternoon. And I would focus the main subjects like math and language. Also kids with ADHD need external motivators so keep lessons short but have something positive after (time outside, snack, ipad time, etc)

We’re going to do a unit study from Waldock Way, on A Christmas Carol. Otherwise, lots of reading here too. ❤ And I found a craft advent from The Purple Cow, because we can’t do the chocolate kind either.

Wonderful! We started the activity advent calendar because Alexie has so many food sensitivities as a toddler and preschooler. And christmas reading is some of my favourite.
