Waking up early, getting ready, making breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time and cleaning the kitchen before the kids even wake up gets me in the right mindset. It makes me feel very accomplished. Having coffee and Bible time right after while the kids do their own morning devotions and the house is quiet is the best part of my morning. ❤

My kids are early elementary, and I need to glance through their reading and math lessons the night before so I know what is coming and I don't have to spend time reading through the teachers manuals while my kids are waiting on me in the morning.

I make my bed. It puts me in more together frame of mind. Sounds cliche, maybe it is, but it helps me. I get my coffee, I usually go over our schedule and when everything is due in the evenings. I do have middle school so it’s more relaxed now.

I have several weeks of lesson plans written out in advance. I tear out all the workbook pages my kids need for each week and put them in a folder for the week. I like being able to grab one folder rather than hunt around for books. As they complete their work it gets filed in each child's binder.
