how do you search themes or subjects on the teacher club site?

@@janeengoodwin6828 you can type them into the search bar and then when you find an item you like you can click on it to see if its in the teachers section. The disadvantage is that it will pull up all things on the site not just the teachers club card so I find better success just scrolling the teachers section and favoriting things I might want to use to make it easier to fine. That being said I have talked to the company and requested that they make a filter for teacher club card resources only and I believe they are working on that.

We have been using Kahn Academy as a supplement this year for 8th grade grammar. My son really likes it. Be aware they are incorporating lgbtq into their curriculum. We found that out during a pronoun lesson. They are teaching that the pronoun they has been changed to also be a singular pronoun. Just want to give Christian homeschools a heads up.

Homeschool Pop is amazing as well, we also use The Homeschool Den and for the love of Homeschooling. Very good resources and cost effective

We tried khan academy hard for my older kids to understand!!! We didn’t think it was dyslexic friendly!!! We love creative fabrica!!! We love easy peasy!!!

I have never used Khan academy, I need to check it out. I never know it was free. Never heard of Creative Fabrica, what a great deal. Thanks for sharing all these great resources.

We have used Khan Academy quite a bit for SAT prep and for supplementary videos for high school math.

What would you say the best months are for sales on major curriculum? We currently use a mixture of Saxon, Abeka, Critical Thinking Co, CLE, and Apologia for my bunch of kids 😊 Do rainbow resources or Christian book ever hold a sale in the spring?

What I find is best is signing up for the email list for the companies I buy from so I don’t miss sales. Each company does things a little different. Christian book regularly does sales but I’m not sure that Rainbows does. Apologia does a big sale in July from what I remember. I know CLE and ABEKA tend to do sales at homeschool conventions.

I homeschool for less than the cost of public school. It is no longer free to send them to the public school.

Very true! Just the school supplies fees alone are shocking.

@@LifeintheMundane Ipads and computers here are 200 to rent and if they break it, they buy it. When they were given an Apple grant for these parents were told it was free and then two years out it is now an expense even for low income families. I have 5 children in school...the iPads alone would be a thousand dollars for us, if they did not break them accidentally 😳. That does not include school supplies, books, lunch, fundraisers, special activities, or daily gas...if you do not want them on the bus😉. We have a large family and have home educated them and loved it, without the stress of rushing to school and the financial stress. Also, our homeschooled children are happy thrift shopping for deals, but if they attended school their clothing budget would majorly increase as well. I do not home educate to save money, but it is a nice by-product. I can put the money to a family trip or special lessons for a child instead of into purposes I do not align with morally.

Hi, are any of these curriculums accredited?

So accreditation only applies to schools. Homeschool curriculum can’t be accredited but good news there are no U.S. states that require homeschool accreditation.
