A brief look inside the mind and the business of one of Nashville’s most beloved people, Joe Glaser…founder of Glaser Instrument Repair.
If you play guitar and you have ever lived in Nashville you KNOW who Joe Glaser is.
A dear dear friend and a TRULY brilliant brain.
Absolutely one of a kind…I have cherished my friendship with this man for decades. One of the most interesting conversationalists I have ever known, and believe me I know some interesting conversationalists!
Hope you enjoy

The reason this channel works is because the enthusiasm is real. Many of us have the same passion but at a different level but it still feels the same.

Hey Tom. Great video (as usual). I worked for Joe over 20yrs ago and built the back side of the building. Painted the walls, built workbenches, moved all those woods to the attic, etc. Joe trained me installing the B-bender and operate the Plek machine, too. Good old days. The guy who hooked me up with the job was…..young Uncle Larry. You connected me with so many great people in Nashville and you are still doing the same to so many people through this channel. So many people appreciate you including me. Rock on!

Joe is a saint! He saved me when I bought a custom built guitar from a luthier that I had intonation problems with. I brought to Joe and he Plek’d it, the maker had installed the nut incorrectly. I was on business in nNashville for one day and brought the guitar and Joe fixed for me! I was expecting to have time leave it for weeks, he called me and said stop by and pick up your guitar before you go to the airport. I was floored! There is no better customer service than Joe Glaser!

The first time I attended NAMM Joe flagged me and one of my guys down to say hi. I never met him before but I saw his name on his badge and instantly knew who he was, THE man at the top of his craft. Turns out he is also a really friendly guy! You can see from this video why he leaves such a positive impression with people. People like Joe remind you how great the guitar community really is.

It’s people like Joe that have been central to the folklore around guitar and the scene in general.. without these catz we’d only have the corporate slant.. which is soulless.. god bless Joe and all the other individuals who’ve made a genuine contribution and continue to do so..

Joe Glaser is a national treasure for sure and his advice on living life to the fullest and seizing every day and every opportunity is so right. So many of us needed to see this video and hear this today. Thank you as always Uncle Larry. You and your friends are the best. Stoked to hear that Sweetwater is going to glean some wisdom from him. That will improve an already great business. God bless you Joe and crew and always God bless Tommy!

My old man was a luthier (retired) and this reminds me of his workshop. Ive been helping him sort through a bunch of old boxes he had tucked away and so far we’ve found a tonne of cool gear , bits and bobs and just cool vintage stuff. Everything from a box of old Tele “ashtrays”, to an early run cry baby Wah. Even found 1xPAF (albeit needs a bit of work). But the best part has been hearing some of his stories
